Psalm 11:4 |
- His eyes <05869>
behold <02372>,
his eyelids <06079>
try <0974>,
the children of men. (KJV + Strong’s Concordance Numbers).
- His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. (NKJ)
- His eyes behold; His eyelids test and prove the children of men. (Amplified Bible).
- His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men, (Hebrew Names Bible).

This is what came to my
mind. I have worked with
computers a long time, and
when I move a computer, I
have to disconnect all the
cables to the monitor, the
printer, and the Ethernet
cables and power cords.
Then I move the computer and
have to put back in place
all the cables and cords.
Then once that is done, the
first thing I do is fire
this
thang up and to prove
that I got 'er done right.
This is a test, but it is
not a test hoping that it
will fail. Rather, I'm
hoping to prove that all is
working in operating order
on this computer. A
Double-Check.
Well, "Yahweh is testing us
with his eyelids". That’s a
strange concept. So, I
looked up the word test, and
found the following results.
What The Treasury of David,
(by Charles H. Spurgeon)
helped me to come up with
the in-my-world concept of
computers. Charles
Strong also gave
me some insight. So, I
being a Charles also add to
this, to scrutinize by
studying a piece of
jewelry with a
magnifying glass and a
light.
I took my Puzzle Ring to one
of the best Jeweler’s in the
state of Alabama to have it
repaired. He teaches
classes on Jewelry repair.
He would be a modern day
craftsman like those that
helped make the gold and
silver decorations in the
temple. He examined the
ring closely and told me
that it was 24k gold, but
that the weld was only
12-14k gold and that the
ring had been exposed to the
chorine in a swimming pool
and the chorine would
eventually dissolve the weld
as it was less amount of
gold. He told me that he
would replace the weld with
a higher grade of gold.
When I came to pick up the
ring, he again placed the
ring in a vice and swung
over his high intensity
lamp, and put on his eye
magnifier and re-examined
the ring, not looking for
flaws but looking to
see make sure that
everything is flawless
before handing the gold ring
to me. This is the concept
that I derived after reading
what others had to say,
(including the Theological
Wordbook of the Old
Testament).
Another idea of the eyelids,
not just scrunching up when
examining something, was
that it gave the appearance
that Yahweh was asleep, and
the test that is proving us
ready for promotion is how
will we act when we think
that Yahweh is not watching
us, (that Yahweh is asleep).
My Father worked for awhile
for my GrandFather cutting
meat, and one thing Grand
Papa always told my Dad was
that if he came up to you to
talk to you, to stop what
you’re doing and to listen
to him, as my GrandFather
was not concerned about how
much work he was doing when
he could see him, but the
real test of someone’s
integrity and ability to
work was how well that they
worked when no one could see
them working~!
John Bevere says that Yahweh
needs someone to carry
certain weights. Like if I
had a canoe and needed to
move it to the top of my
van, I would need some
help. I couldn’t ask a 5 or
an 8 year old as they don’t
have the strength to help
me, nor the height.
However, I would be inclined
to ask a neighbor boy that
is 14-16 years old. But,
even so, I would need to
know that he can carry the
weight. So, we might pick
up the canoe in the back
yard to test his strength. I really know that he can do
it, so the test is not for
my sake, as much as it is
for his sake, to give him
confidence.
This is a "Quality Assurance
Test".
For example, I went to New
Orleans, and witnessed on
Bourbon Street. I took
another younger Christian
with me the first time and
he freaked out, and the
older seasoned veterans of
witnessing on Bourbon Street
advised me to get him out of
there. It would be
realizing that the young
man can not hold up
his end of carrying the
canoe over his head. I came
back and saw a woman about
to raise her top, and I
walked right up to her as
she was about to expose
herself and said, "God Loves
You too much for you to do
this". This in a way was a
promotion, or rather a
responsibility. I had been
proven. I didn’t watch as
she exposed herself.
Same word used for ’test' or
’try' in Psalm 11:4 is the
very same word Yahweh says
to ’test' or to 'prove' him
with used in
Malachi 3:10 sited
below.
Bahan, or
Bachan as I found it
on the Internet, {look up "Bachan
test" without the quotes}.
To 'examine', ’try',
'prove', ’test'. Not to
prove that it doesn’t work,
but to prove that it does~!
Malachi 3:10
(10)
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove
<0974> me now herewith, saith YHVH of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of
heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough
to receive it.
Job 7:17
What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?
Job 7:18
And that thou shouldest visit him every morning
and
try
<0974>
him every moment?

"His
eyelids try the children of men:"
he narrowly inspects their
actions, words and thoughts. As
men, when intently and narrowly
inspecting some very minute
object, almost close their
eyelids to exclude every other
object, so will Yahweh look
all men through and through. God
sees each man as much and as
perfectly as if there were no
other creature in the universe.
He sees us always; he never
removes his eye from us; he sees
us entirely, reading the
recesses of the soul as readily
as the glancing of the eye. Is
not this a sufficient ground of
confidence, and an abundant
answer to the solicitations of
despondency? My danger is not
hid from him; he knows my
extremity, and I may rest
assured that he will not suffer
me to perish while I rely alone
on him. Wherefore, then, should
I take the wings of the timid
bird, and flee from the dangers
which beset me, {The Treasury of
David, (Charles
H. Spurgeon) ~ from
e-Sword}.

Fire Testing is a present
reality for the individual
believer in the Church Age as
well as the Client Nation to
God. Fire Testing is also a
part of the heritage of Israel
even in the Church Age. As the
Lord Yahoshua, (the Messiah) controls human
history, He demonstrates divine
good (gold, silver, and precious
stones) by Fire Testing while
destroying dead works (wood,
hay, and straw). The divine
good that has been validated by
Fire Testing will be used as a
testimony for Yahweh in the
Appeal Trial of Satan and will
be the basis for eternal reward.
Fire Testing proves the metal of
the individual believer to
qualify for promotion on the
road to maturity. Fire Testing
may be used to demonstrate
separation from the world to
qualify for the Spiritual
Warfare Phase of the Christian
Life on the road to Spiritual
Maturity. Only when the
believer loves Yahweh more
than the world can there be
qualification for promotion to
Spiritual Warfare. Following
Spiritual Warfare is the
Suffering Phase, which may also
include Fire Testing. Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-nego underwent
Fire Testing when they refused
to worship the image of
Nebuchadnezzar. They were
thrown into the smelting furnace
but were delivered by the power
of Yahweh. After the test,
they were promoted into
Spiritual Maturity. Fire Testing
can be expected in the life of
the believer. It will happen,
and it will hurt. As the
Apostle Peter said:
Beloved, do not be surprised at
the fire in you, the test that
comes face-to-face with you, as
though some strange thing were
happening to you; (1 Peter
4:12)
This is the Fire Test. It comes
face-to-face with us on the
Stage of Life. It includes
intense pressure, but it can be
discerned by means of divine
viewpoint from Bible Doctrine in
the soul. It can only be passed
by Experiential Sanctification,
application of Bible Doctrine.
