"It Was Love"
As I look upon my Dear Saviour
I see the lash marks on His Back,
It breaks my heart to know One So Dear,
Took all my pain as the crowd hung Him there.
I vision Jesus carrying His heavy Cross
He was beaten so much He could barely walk.
Yet the crowd cried out, Crucify Him,
As Mary looked on she was numb with shock.
They nailed our Saviour to the Cross
Drove spikes into His Hands and Feet.
The Blood flowed down from His Side,
His beaten Body was so weak.
Jesus rose again just as He said
He lives today, He is not dead.
We can sing Praises to His Name,
He died on the Cross and arose again.
How could we ever repay our Lord
For all He did at Calvary?
Our Perfect Lamb stayed on the Cross,
Such love He had for you and me.
Jesus is calling, Do you hear Him?
Receive Him now, Accept His Salvation.
Millions have come, there's still room for one,
The Price has been paid, the Battle is Won.
