"Memories Of Yesterday"
Jim as I reminisce back over the weeks,
I'm remembering all you shared with me.
The Memories we have of you is precious.
God spared you for one more service to
worship in His presence, Sunday July 01.
You had chest pains but you wasn't going
to miss the blessings God had for you.
After such a awesome message, prayer
was called for one of our people and I see
you now strolling up across the church,
I was in tears but I followed you and stood
with you and our son, (Jerry )and we both
prayed that God would touch your body.
How your sister Cora prayed that night
that God would give you strength for
each new day and heal if it was His will.
You came home and said what a great
time I had tonight in God's presence.
You shared how Jerry held you up and
prayed for you.. You said you was not
tired you was like a feather and could
have floated around the church that night,
This was Jerry's last good memory of you !!
I think of Junior when he came to see
us and he hugged you and placed a
kiss on your check and told you to take
care of yourself until he get back, he
came back the second time he hugged
you again. Then he hugged and kissed
me and said, See you both next trip.
It was like he did not want to leave us
that day. Oh how it brought tears to
our eyes. We were so up tight afraid
something was going to happen to Junior.
We prayed so hard that week for him.
God answered our prayers, it was you
my love God decided to take to heaven.
Junior did not think that was his last hug.
It broke his heart as he got the sad news.
God called your name, you took your flight,
You was so weak you could no longer fight.
God answered all prayers on July 07,2007
Jim, you recieved your divine healing.
It just broke our hearts to lose you, we have
enough good memories to take us through life.
That was Junior's last good memory of you !!
