God is the final authority here, and I thank Him for you,
and allowing me to share with you in this way.
Lord, please continue to use me to do Thy Will.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others.
Keep me strong that I may help the weak and unsaved.
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
May the Holy Spirit always continue to guide me.
I ask for your continued prayers, and please pray for each other

Dear God,
Please help me to realize in
the depths of my heart that people without You are lost for
all eternity. I'm available. Please use me to be as Christ
to every life I touch, and do all that I can, in as many
ways I can to help win others to You. Thank You for hearing
and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name,
Amen.

************************

This is why you must know, and fix in your heart, that the Lord is God in the Heavens above and on earth below, and that there is no other.
Deuteronomy 4:39

************************

Forgive

Is your heart heavy laden with anger;
are you wounded by the pierce of a word
that was spoken with thought unregarded;
are you hurt by the things that you heard?

Do the sun and its rays all elude you;
do your eyes never light in a smile?
Are you plagued with a need to get even;
are your feelings as bitter as bile?

Then it's time to let go of emotions
that afflict your mind and your soul,
and it's time to start mending some fences,
with forgiveness your ultimate goal.

You may think that it's hard to accomplish,
that your pride is too great to give in,
but the one who hangs on to resentment
is the one who never will win.

For the person who is the big winner
and the person who's learned how to live
is not one who harbors ill feelings
but the one who has learned to forgive.

Never Alone......

He can calm the troubled waters
When you walk in dark despair.
There is hope when you feel helpless
Knowing that the Lord is there...
Sharing in your sunshine moments
Or in valleys deep and wide,
He will never, ever leave you
He is always by your side.
There's no other friend so faithful
Through the sunshine and the rain,
Through the teardrops and the laughter,
In your joy and in your pain.
We could never, ever thank Him
For His love He gives so free,
Never changing...never ending
Throughout all eternity.
Oh, the wonder of all wonders
As we live from day to day,
Knowing that we have a Father
Who is with us all the way.

"Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly...Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives...It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening."

Ah, that "unfailing love" -- embrace it today.

Deep peace of the running waves to you
Deep peace of the flowing air to you
Deep peace of the shining stars to you
Deep peace of the shades of night to you
Moon and stars always giving light to you

Beauty Of A Sunset

The beauty of a sunset is a splendor to behold,
sometimes the sky's afire with tints of red and gold.
Then other times it's gentle like a lovers soft embrace,
enthralling us in grandeur to be blessed with such a place.
How special are these moments that nature lets us see,
moments where our spirits will struggle to be free.
These moments, when they find us, bring contented inner peace,
moments that we purge ourselves and give our souls release.
We see how small we really are next to nature's majestic age,
it grants us humbling moments when pondering this awesome stage.
This is a union as day, couples with the night,
a dance of perfect harmony, the joining of darkness with light.
When these two forces come together,
they are more united then when apart,
we stand to learn so much from this display of divine art.
Embrace the feeling within your heart when nature opens the door,
for if you do, you will find you are granted so much more.
As Mother Earth prepares for slumber, it's enough to make one pray,
for the gift of seeing this miracle again another day....

A Wish

Star light, star bright,
O first star I see tonight~
A wish I make this very night,
a wish that all my friends sleep tight ~
A wish that all good dreams come true
May God bless everything they do ~
A wish that every day they'll wake
to find a helping hand to take ~
Someone to trust, someone to hold,
someone to truly call their "own" ~
For days they cry, for days they pout
A wish for peace without a doubt ~
For days our happiness will thrive
A prayer to God I am alive ~
A wish of joy, and peace, and love,
For these are all gifts from above ~
For everything we do together
I pray that it will last forever.

In His Name

Lord, we come to Thee in Holy Prayer,
to ask Thy guidance please,
In matters concerning family, friends and me,
Lord, all of these,
Some are sick, some scared Lord
of bitter things coming along,
Touching those of Yours Lord,
where they do not belong.
We’re asking sincerely in His Holy name
to keep all of us secure and well,
Until we’re with Thee Lord,
there in sweet Heaven to ever dwell,
Help us Lord to put our enemy behind us,
forever there to stay,
Keep us safe in His Holy Name we earnestly
and fervently do pray.
Oh Lord the world is getting so sinful,
we are ashamed for Thee,
To look down on the beautiful earth
You made and can now see,
The horror of the demons running amok,
and most just sit by,
And wonder at what is going on,
but Yours just pray and cry.
For our hearts cannot understand evil,
in our life it has no place,
For we are filled with Thy Holy Ghost
and so very full of Thine own grace,
Keep us Lord, under Your wings,
as doth the hen with chicks in a summer rain,
Covering and protecting them,
though it be time and time again.
So In His Holy name we pray tonight at nine,
willing our hearts to be sublime,
Honoring Jesus above all in Heaven and earth
‘til the end of time
And praying Dear Lord in time,
that we join our hands in our heart,
Praying for each other in all things,
though in the flesh, we are far apart.
Bring us closer to Thine own Kingdom,
Father Jesus, help us to be,
More repentant and more graceful
in our fervent love for Thee,
Seeing how You put things of evil behind us,
bring us to Thy Throne,
And by Thine own love our hearts have accepted
Thy Holy Son, Thine own.

"The Raven"

And the wings of the raven spread for one last time,
as they lifted him from the summit of creation.
And his eyes took vision beyond what he had ever seen,
as he soared to a height, where never he had been.
Strained was his endurance as the power of flight
brought him closer to his destination....
And the air did not hesitate to bring feathers stability,
as this last flight would return home this lost soul.
And as I witnessed his beauty, I saw him glide
into the rays of the sun...where forever,
he disappeared from my life.

I am a child. I am yours.
It matters not if I was born or selected by you:
It matters only that I be loved by you.
Protect me, but don't smother me;
guide me, but don't push me;
correct me, but don't criticize me harshly:
free me, but don't abandon me:
shower me with memories fill my eyes with tears
rather than my heart with pain.

Listen to my thought as I ramble to your tired ears.
Touch my hand -- meet my eyes -- let me know you are there.
Praise me for the little things I do, for they are great
accomplishments in my eyes.
Read to me, for until I gain my knowledge, you must train my blind
eyes and deaf ears to look and listen.
Encourage me because I believe in you with all my heart.
But most of all, love me.
For as much as you give, it is that much and more
that I promise to return.

Please love me.
It won't cost too much or take too long.
It won't make a mess or be too loud.
I won't break it but I promise to keep it forever with me.
Someday, I will find a person and share this priceless gift,
for it will never grow old or outdated,
but only grow more beautiful with age.

Fix it, Daddy, she lisps at two showing
this god in her life her scraped knee.
Fix it, Daddy, she says at four,
tearfully producing her broken balloon purchased
from the vendor at the parade.
Fix it, Daddy, she says at six,
struggling with her jacket zipper on her rush out
the door to school.
Fix it, Daddy, she says at eight,
confidently wheeling her dented and lopsided bike
toward him as he gets out of his car after work.
Fix it, Daddy, she intones righteously at 10
after coming out loser in a knockdown,
drag-out battle with her stupid,
tyrannical, and absolutely impossible brother.
Fix it, Daddy, she pleads at 12
in the first of many struggles with her mother over
whether she's old enough to wear eye shadow.
Fix it, Daddy, she sobs at 14,
when her image hits rock bottom because
she didn't make the cheerleading squad.
Fix it, Daddy, she asks at 16,
exposing her first broken heart over a lost love.
Fix it, Dad, she says at 18
when the college she wants, doesn't want her.
Fix it, Dad, she implores at 22,
sending along her mangled checkbook stubs
and a 1040 form.
Fix it, Dad, she begs at 24,
when she witnesses a rare conflict between
him and her mother.
Fix it, Dad, she writes at 26,
explaining that she wants a quiet wedding officiated
by a priest and a rabbi.
Fix it, Dad, she prays at 30,
when her baby is in the hospital
and her husband is overseas.
Fix it, Grandpa, she insists at 40
as she turns her contrary 12-year-old son
over to him for the weekend.
Fix it, Dad, she begs at 45
when he tells her his heart is faltering
and needs repair.
Fix it, Father, she prays at 55
as she kneels at her dad's funeral,
praying that he will find peace
and realizing that from now on
he will be fixing things for her in a way
he never could before.

Please Take Me God

I was driving to the grocery store just thinking of
everything on my list to do today. Taking the kids to
soccer practice, cleaning the house, getting groceries,
getting the oil changed in the car, the list went on and
on. I was feeling overwhelmed and was already tired
before I had even gotten started.

On my way to the store I saw something horrible happen,
a train had run into a car that was crossing the tracks.
I thought "Oh no! This is horrible, there is no way the
driver of that car could have lived!!"

I was the closest car to the tracks so I put my car in
park and got out.
I ran over to the car and looked in and could not
believe what I was seeing. Tears came! to my eyes and I
just couldn't take it. Inside the car was a woman
driving that was obviously dead. In the back-seat was a
baby in its car seat bleeding everywhere and next to
the baby was a little girl who I guessed to be about 4
years old and she was bleeding also.

Just then the little girl spoke. She said, "Is my mommy
and baby sister okay?"
I just looked at her and said, "Honey I don't know.
There is a doctor on his way right now."
Just then the little girl started crying saying, "Don't
take my mommy and my baby sister. Take me with you too!!
Please!!"

She was pleading at who knows what, to take her -- but
take her where??? I asked the little girl who she was
talking to and she said, "Don't you see? That Angel is
taking my mommy and my baby sister! I want to go with
them, too! My mommy is waving good-bye to me and is
holding my baby sister and she is smiling!" The little
girl started to cry because she did not want to stay,
she wanted to go with her mommy and her baby sister.

I felt so sorry for her. I didn't believe in God and I
thought to myself, where did an Angel come from? What
kind of God would take a mommy and a baby but not the
little sister?

At that moment I saw the little girl start to smile so
big as she held her arms out to something, someone to
pick her up. I thought to myself that she must be
delirious and maybe she is hurt worse than I thought.
Just then the little girl closed her eyes and slumped
over in her seat. She was dead!

I couldn't be sad even though this was a 4-year-old
little girl that had just died. You wouldn't be sad
either if you could see that beautiful smile on her
face! I guess her mommy and baby sister came back to get
her.

That was also the day that God came to get me -- as that
was the day that I became a believer and turned my life
over to The Living God.

Jesus said, " If you are ashamed of me, I will be
ashamed of you before my Father."

Pass this on...only if you mean it. Yes, I do love God.
He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me
functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I will be
nothing. Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him I
can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
(Phil 4:13)

My Little Boy

You've had this dream from the time you could talk.
You wanted to be like your dad and chose the path he walked.
I thought you had forgotten and changed your mind
Oh but no you only were waiting for the right time
I watched you grow up and I hoped and prayed
I'd never have to say good bye to you one day

How I wish your dad were here
To see you go is too much to bear
And now you're going off too
Dear Lord please don't let me lose you too

Please watch over my boy and keep him safe while
he's away. And bring him back home again one day
He smiles and turns and waves his hand
And for that moment he's my little boy again

I sit and read his letters over and over again
And he ends each one with don't worry mom I'll be
home soon but he doesn't say when
I hold his picture close to me
His father would be so proud of the man he came to
be. And so I wait patiently
For that little boy comes home to me

Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled"
Let not your soul be sad
Easter is a time of joy
When all hearts should be glad,
Glad to know that Jesus Christ
Made it possible for men
To have their sins forgiven
And, like him, to live again...
So at this joyous season
May the wondrous Easter Story
Renew our Faith so we may be
Partakers of "His Glory!"

The Courage To Go On

 Dear God,
When I am lonely and,
Perhaps I feel despair.
Let not my ailing heart forget,
That you hear every prayer..
Remind me that no matter what,
I do or fail to do,
There still is hope for as long
As I have faith in you..
Let not my eyes be blinded by
Some folly I commit.
But help me to regret my wrong,
And to make up for it..
Inspire me to put my fears,
Upon a hidden shelf,
And in the future never to
Be sorry for myself.
Give me the restful sleep I need,
Before another dawn,
And bless me in the morning with
The courage to go on...

Spirit

I am the life of all there is, without Me nothing would be.
The melody that floats freely through the air, for all to hear.
The aroma of the seasons flow through Me.
The soul of the animal, that runs freely through here.

You can't see me for what I am, I'm just that gentle touch.
I live through all that there is.
I am the sunset.
I am the moonlit nights that you love so much.
I am the spirit that moves lovers that have not met.

It is I that pass through the trees that make them sway.
I am the scent of the rose as it blooms.
Sometimes I pass through you to lead you away.
Only to guide you down the right path, to save you gloom.

I am the ancients at their best, the elders who passed on.
Here to show how to love all the ways of old.
We're here to guide and protect you, then we move on.
One day you will be with us, the spirit of life is told.

But rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ,

When the storms of life come upon us ... and all of us will

You Are...

You are strong ...
when you take your grief and teach it to smile.
You are brave ...
when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same.
You are happy ...
when you see a flower and are thankful for the blessing.
You are loving ...
when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.
You are wise ...
when you know the limits of your wisdom.
You are true ...
when you admit there are times you fool yourself.
You are alive ...
when tomorrow's hope means more to you than yesterday's mistake.
You are growing ...
when you know what you are but not what you will become.
You are free ...
when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others.
You are honorable ...
when you find your honor is to honor others.
You are generous ...
when you can take as sweetly as you can give.
You are humble ...
when you do not know how humble you are.
You are thoughtful ...
when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are.
You are merciful ...
when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.
You are beautiful ...
when you don't need a mirror to tell you.
You are rich ...
when you never need more than what you have.
You are you ...
when you are at peace with who you are not.

Little Things

A summer's breeze, a smiling child,
A daffodil that's growing wild,
A deep orange sunset in the West;
Those little things, I love the best.

A still dark night with fireflies,
The laughter in my mother's eyes,
A multicolored rainbow's end ..
Are little things that count, my friend.

A fuzzy warm puppy (licking my face),
Kisses with hugs and a loving embrace,
Rain pouring down on a roof made of tin,
Sitting under a shade (with a soft gentle wind);

Those little things make life worth living.
Being kind to a stranger, caring and giving,
Laughing and sharing your hopes and your dreams;
There is nothing more precious than those little things.

Daughter Of The Wind

Why have I always been a daughter of the wind?
It has such strength, it is treacherous and holds such fury,
yet it has the most gentle, tender touch.
When I watch the wind, hear the wind or feel its soft and gentle caress,
I suddenly become lost in thought and wild wanderings.
Dear wind, where are you going?
What have you done today?
What are you going to do tomorrow?
You always seem to carry me to another plain.
A place where dreamers dwell.
Somewhere your secrets are never told.
As the daughter of the wind, I will never grow old!

Fly away troubles please just go away
For you have been with me for many a day
I'm tired, I'm broken, my spirit is gone
Please go away troubles you've been here too long
I have stood strong I've faced the odds
I've stood your test I have won those battles
I've proved you were wrong
What I need is salvation, a break from your hold
Release me please leave me for I'm getting too old

But...
Despite the troubles, the toil and pain
I am still thankful for each given day
When I get up each morning and my feet hit the ground
I Thank the good Lord for each day that abounds.
I know you are saying...how can this be?

How I could be thankful for a day full of troubles
A day full of pain.
Well you see it's quite simple
Whether troubles or not
At least I am living my life on this earth.
I can still hug my children, email my friends
Take the dog for a walk or watch a good movie
Right to the end

But...
For just one day a mere moment in time
I wish my troubles would just fly away
For you see it would be a treasure
A real blessing to me.

I always know God won't give me more than I can handle,
but there are times I wish He didn't trust me quite so much.

************************

Many times we are looking at age, or looks,
or some other defect and not at the person
and the soul that God made.
If we could get in the habit of looking through the eyes of Christ,
we would make this a better world,
in preparation of the world to come.

Proverbs 3:21-26
"My Children, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight. They will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then will you go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. You will lie down, and not be afraid. When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or ruin that overtakes the wicked.... for the Lord will be your confidence, and keep
your foot from being snared."

Here I'll Stand

I have climbed the highest mountain,
After braving a winter's storm.
At the top, there was a lighthouse;
A place that's safe and warm.

I wondered if I'd make it.
The way was often rough.
But, I found I had the courage.
My faith was just enough.

The wandering and waiting
Gave me time enough to think,
Even though my troubled soul
Was sometimes at the brink.

If you haven't made this journey,
Feeling no hope was in sight,
Well, let me tell you now, my friend,
At the end there is a light.

You won't be as you were before.
But, you'll find some comfort here.
In the place above the storms and gales,
You'll overcome your fears.

So, rest a while and linger.
Take time to claim your soul
And know that all is truly well.
God's love is in control.

************************

For this reason, since the day we heard about you,
we have not stopped praying for you
and asking God to fill you with the knowledge
of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy
of the Lord and may please Him in every way:
bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God,

Prayer:
LORD, help me to be faithful to pray for the needs, concerns,
and spiritual condition of others as well as my own.
While it is a natural tendency to be primarily concerned
by one's own needs, especially during difficult circumstances,
I trust You to help me grow in spiritual wisdom
and understanding, caring and praying for
the spiritual needs of others as a part
of my growth and maturity in You.

In Jesus' name. Amen.

Clay Balls

I remember reading a story once about a man
who was exploring some caves by the seashore.
In one of the caves he found a canvas bag
with a bunch of hardened clay balls.
It was like someone had rolled up some clay
and left them out in the sun to bake.
They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man
so he took the bag out of the cave with him.

As he strolled along the beach,
to pass the time,
he would throw the clay balls
one at a time out into the ocean
as far as he could throw.
He thought little about it until he dropped
one of the balls and it cracked open on a rock.
Inside was a beautiful, precious stone.
Excited, the man started breaking
open the remaining clay balls.
Each contained a similar treasure.

He found hundreds of dollars worth of jewels
in the 20 or so clay balls he had left,
then it struck him.
He had been on the beach a long time.
He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls
with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves.
Instead of hundreds of dollars in treasure,
he could have taken home thousands,
but he just threw it away.

You know sometimes, it's like that with people.
We look at someone, maybe even ourselves,
and we see the external clay vessel.
It doesn't look like much from the outside.
It isn't always beautiful or sparkling,
so we discount it;
we see that person as less important than
someone more beautiful or stylish
or well known or wealthy.
But we have not taken the time to find
the treasure hidden inside that person by God.

There is a treasure in each and every one of us.
The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
I don't think He means just our physical bodies.
I think He means our spiritual selves,
which are sometimes hidden from others
by the "earthen vessel."

But if you take the time to get to know that person,
and if you ask the Father to show you
that person the way He sees them,
then the clay begins to peel away
and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.
The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand,
nor the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship;
it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one
when he discovers that someone else believes in him
and is willing to trust him with his friendship.

Papa Let Us Help

Papa let us help you when you work on the car today
We can take the time to work with you instead of play
All the times you play with us and give us of your hours
Yes, Papa, let us help you, let your work be ours

Papa, we have little fingers and we can reach the things you can't
Our little eyes are perfect...we can see the things you can't
Our little body's smaller, we can get in tighter places
Yes, Papa, we can help you work, we are not running races

Take your time to teach us the names of all your tools
And show us what you use them on, Papa, that's just like in school
Where we will learn to be a man and do the things you do
Oh, Papa, just today...please let us work with you.

The Meaning Of Life

Many have asked the meaning of life.
Some have spent their lives in that search,
always searching - never finding.

They seek, but do not see.
They listen, but do not hear.
They talk, but do not speak.
They have no understanding.

The meaning of life is all around us.
It's in the skies, it's in the seas,
It's in the smile of a child.
It's in the touch of a friend,
In the kiss of a loved one.

It's in the eyes of a stranger you have helped.
It's in the beauty of a sunrise and of the sunset.
It's the ability to love, and to accept love.
It's striving to better ones self.

Many have searched but didn't find it.
Many more are in search, and will not find it.
Their hearts are empty.

To find the meaning of life, open your heart,

Then you will see -
Then you will hear -
Then you will understand -
Then you will know the meaning of life.

 When God Speaks In Whispers

Fragile Moments

Even a two-hour train trip with five small children can be a trial.
This particular Independence Day, I was taking the children
to visit my parents in another city.
Settling the older children with books and crayons
and getting the baby asleep on my lap,
I looked listlessly out of the train window.
Trains always seem to go through the most miserable sections
of town and the ugliness and poverty I saw through
the car windows accentuated the despair I felt.
My husband was ill and would be in the hospital for a few months.
I was lonely and resented having to accept welfare funds for support.
Out the window I saw another settlement of shanties,
with what looked like a dump behind them.
I noticed something red in front of the house closest to the tracks.
It was a red and white checked tablecloth spread over a card table
in what couldn't rightfully be called a yard,
since nothing could grow in that mess of cinders and sand.
Sitting at the table was a man eating a chicken leg
and at his feet was a luscious-looking watermelon.
As the train slowly passed, the man smiled
and waved the drumstick as if to wish us a happy holiday.
A little further down the tracks, we passed a row of old houses.
Most had trash piled up back and front, no curtains at the windows,
dirty children grubbing in the mud.
This only made the yard with the magnificent red rose trellis
all the more noticeable.
The roses seemed to glow; there was no trash in this yard.
I felt a wave of admiration for the person who had created this
bit of loveliness in the midst of squalor.
Suddenly I thought of my clean house in a nice part of town;
the strength and guidance of a wise and kind minister;
my healthy children; loving parents;
the friends who had rallied to my side when trouble came.
I thought of the new drugs and the doctors who were
working to restore my husband to health so he could be with us.
God had given me all these blessings,
but I had been thinking only of what I did not have.
It had taken commonplace things—a watermelon
and a rose trellis—to remind me that God gives us the strength
to face whatever problems we have.
An amazing change occurs when we offer a prayer of gratitude
and set out spiritually to plant a rose
where other people have left only trash.

A New Day

This is the beginning of a new day.
I have been given this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is important because
I'm exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever,
leaving in its place whatever I have traded for it.
I pledge to myself that it shall be: gain, not loss;
good, not evil; success, not failure, in order
that I shall not regret the price I paid for this day.

***********************

For happier tomorrows,
make all your today's count.

************************

Remember, God will send
you on stony paths, but He
also will provide you with
strong shoes

************************

Happiness is a by-product of an
effort to make someone else happy

************************

There are two ways of meeting difficulties.
You alter the difficulties or
you alter yourself to meet and deal with them

************************

Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures,
and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens."
God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves,
with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind;

and God saw that it was good.

God blessed them, saying,
"Be fruitful and multiply,
and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."

But now, ask the beasts, and let them teach you;
And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.
Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you;
And let the fish of the sea declare to you.

Circle

Our lives are lived in a circle.
Whatever we do is in a circle,
as we travel this circle we have to meet ourselves...
So when we do a good thing
we sooner or later come back to that spot.
We have to.....
It is in that spot we are rewarded for the good
and dealt with in another way for the bad.
So whatever you choose to do in life,
remember you have to meet that.

It's what I call getting caught in the circle.
All our deeds good or bad have to be met, sooner or later.
It's like what goes around comes around.
Whatever we send out returns to us.
When you walk, try to walk in beauty..

When you talk, try to talk in beauty..

Whatever we do the Creator sees and hears us..

Treat other people like you wish to be treated...
Be kind and loving..
Be helpful, and
Be forgiving..

The little ones are gifts to us from the Creator.
They are wakan. The babies are just here from His world,
they are gifts of love and their smile can move
even the strongest of men to tears,
their undying love and sense of forgiveness
should be a lesson for all of us to follow..
They are dependent on us for many things
and we learn so much from them,
they are our teachers, watch them,
listen to them, and give them all the love you can...

The old ones are nearing their time to be with the Creator...
they are wakan...their wisdom and childlike ways
are being taken in their own ways...listen to them,
watch them and love them like you would a child...
in their hearts lie so much knowledge
and the deepest respect should be given to them...
they have paved the way for us
as we pave the way for our little ones to come...

Pray for the world to heal and help earth mother to heal,
so our little ones will have a safe place to live...
good water to drink and good ground to grow the food they will eat
and the food the animals will eat...
Pray for healing of all peoples...
there is so much hate in the world for people
of different cultures, beliefs, religions and colors...
remember they are our relations
and God has created them also...
live in harmony with all things and all people
for we just have this world to live in...
Live and let live as it is said...
Forgive others for their mistakes as none of us are perfect...
Don't make fun of others thoughts or ways of thinking...
they have the right to do as they please just like you do...
Remember to live in love and harmony
so when you get caught in the circle it will be a good thing...

Thank you for your time and I want each of you
to know I love you and you are in my prayers
each and every time I pray...

"I Won't Give Up On Him"

I recently heard about a father who was working
outside his home when he noticed his 5-year-old daughter
sprawled on the driveway,
completely focused on the cement in front of her.

Curious, he strolled up behind her to see what was so mesmerizing.
There on the driveway a caterpillar was making its way across what,
for it, was a vast expanse, fraught with obstacle and danger.
The girl was absolutely spellbound,
watching as the creature's tiny legs
and body propelled its slinky way to . . .
well, wherever it was going.

Caterpillars sure are interesting, aren't they?
the father said at last.

The little girl didn't take her eyes off the driveway.
She just grunted: Uh-huh.

It looks like it would take a lot of work to move like that,
doesn't it? Dad asked.

Uh-huh.

He understood.
He remembered the fascination of watching
creeping things crawl as a boy.
They quietly watched for a few minutes,
as the caterpillar struggled to negotiate
a wide crack in the pavement.
Before too long, the father noted,
he won't have to worry about big cracks like that.

Why not? the girl wondered.

He'll just fly over the top of it, Dad said.

For the first time, the little girl looked up.
Nuh-uhhhh, she said. Caterpillars don't fly.

You're right -- they don't, Dad replied.
But they turn into butterflies,
and you've seen how well butterflies can fly.

Nuh-uhhhhh, the little girl said. You're teasing.

It's the truth, Dad said. You can ask Mom.
One of these days this caterpillar will build
a little home for itself called a cocoon,
and then he'll go to sleep for a while.
When he wakes up he'll crawl out of his cocoon,
only by then he will have turned into a butterfly,
and he'll fly away.

His daughter was suspicious.
Daddy, is this sort of like that tooth fairy story?

No, sweetheart, he replied, this is true.
It's really going to happen. Honest.

Well, OK, she said.
Then she smiled and turned her attention back to the caterpillar.
I was worried about him, she said.
But if he's really going to be able to fly,
I won't give up on him.

All of us find ourselves occasionally limited by mortality.
Sometimes we're forced by circumstances to move slowly,
struggling to overcome each new obstacle in our way.
At other times we encounter limitations that are
even more restrictive, binding us in a cocoon of disability,
depression or hardship.
At such times the easiest solution would be to simply give up.
And while I understand why some choose to do exactly that,
I am in awe of those who refuse to surrender to life's vicissitudes.
Like the caterpillar that emerges from its confining chrysalis
to spread its wings as a beautiful butterfly,
they burst free of the constraints mortality imposes upon them.
And they fly.

Which is not to imply that one who refuses
to give up in the face of adversity will always emerge victorious.
That would be unrealistic, and reality must occasionally have its due.
But an amazing number of courageous folks do overcome,
even though it's impossible to know in advance which ones will.
And the funny thing is, those who lose still gain much from trying
so who's to say they haven't really won, after all?

In a world where earth-bound caterpillars
end up soaring with the birds,
you learn not to give up on anyone
who hasn't already given up on themselves.

God Has All The Answers

Although you're tired and weary
Just rest the whole night through
As God gives us the mornings
To see all things anew.
For things look so much brighter
When they're slept on a while
You wake up in the morning
And soon you want to smile.
You look and see the sunshine
The bright blue sky above
You wonder why you fretted
And you know God is love.
With all this to surround you
There's naught but this to say
And so with song you praise Him
Give thanks for this new day.
Yes, God has all the answers
To problems big and small
We only have to tell Him
He's at our beck and call.
So we must take our burdens
And lay them at His feet
Then trust unto His wisdom
That all our need He'll meet.

The People In Our Lives

Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart.
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my
face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my
hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return.

Sometimes life looks like the backside of a loom.
A day's circumstances seem as disconnected as the threads
on the underside of an Oriental rug.
We are hard pressed to see any pattern or purpose to it all.
Prayer is the Divine Weaver's invitation to step around to what
is really the front side of the loom, to the eternal side of life.
And the movement is transformational, often breathtaking.
The upward look of prayer reveals the real meaning of life.
In giving us the Lord's Prayer,
Jesus was inviting us to step around the loom and
see life from the perspective of heaven.
True prayer is God's invitation to see life through God's eyes
and to set the circumstances of life in their larger context.
We need this perspective if we are to see our lives
as more than a disconnected sequence of events.

The LORD Keeps You Safe

You, LORD, are the light that keeps me safe.
I am not afraid of anyone.
You protect me, and I have no fears.

I ask only one thing, LORD
Let me live in Your house everyday of my life
to see how wonderful You are
and to pray in Your temple.

In times of trouble, You will protect me.
You will hide me in Your tent and keep me safe
on top of a mighty rock.

Trust the LORD!
Be brave and strong and trust the LORD.

Psalm 27. 1,4,5,14

It Is Not Easy

To apologize,
To begin over,
To be unselfish,
To take advice,
To admit error,
To face a sneer,
To be charitable,
to keep on trying,
To be considerate,
To avoid mistakes,
To endure success,
To think and then act,
To keep out of the rut,
To make the best of little,
To subdue an unruly temper,
To maintain a high standard,
To shoulder a deserved blame,
To recognize a silver lining....
But it always pays.

************************

Touch my heart and I'll touch yours with a gentle word or two,
For kindness bears the sweetest fruit that makes our dreams come true.
Touch my life with tenderness and fill my cup with love.
Share my dreams as I share yours beyond the stars above.
Take my hand as I grow old and lead me when I'm blind.
Show me that you really care, good friends are hard to find.
Touch my heart and I'll touch yours a little more each day
And then we both find happiness somewhere along the way.

Relationships

A relationship is an opportunity to...
Heal
Understand my projection
Touch my feelings
Be vulnerable
Be honest with myself
Understand that it's what's inside of me that makes a
difference
Ask for help
See I create my own pain and joy
Learn about choice
Take responsibility for me
Let others be responsible for themselves
Grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically
Accept
Forgive
Receive
Give
Compromise
Find safety
Find gratitude
Learn about truth
Love
Have compassion
Learn how much alike we all are
Give and receive friendship
Be intimate
Learn about my sexuality
Receive and accept gifts
Find my own grace
Let go of expectations
Find my true source of strength
Identify my weaknesses
Depend on another
Be depended upon
Play
Awaken my inner child
Laugh
Create a little more light in the world and
Most of all, to offer all of the above to another human being.

Prayer is so simple
It is like quietly
Opening a door
And slipping into
The very presence of God.
There, in the stillness,
To listen for His voice,
Perhaps in petition
Or only to listen,
It matters not.
Just to be there,
In His presence, Is prayer.

Cast Your Cares

I saw in a dream
A young boy
Struggling under a heavy load.
Soon there came a carriage
And from it
His father called to him
"Come up here
And I will lighten your load."
The boy drew near
And sat down next to the man
But never removed his burden.
Seeing this

The father softly asked
"Why are you still carrying your load?"
"Your work is long and hard."
The boy replied
"I want to help you, Papa."
Then his wise father gently spoke:
"My child
When you came up to me
You placed the weight of yourself
And the burden
Upon my sturdy carriage.
The carriage is bearing the weight of your load
Whether or not you hold it as well.

Release your load
That beside me
You may rest
And play."
And as the boy set down his burden
The man turned to me
And said
"Cast all your cares upon the Lord
For He cares for you."

Faith is your gift
the ability to believe in what you cannot prove
to imagine
to dream
in a purpose
in one another.
Out of faith comes hope.
Hope is your way out
of depression
out of despair.
From hope comes your will to try
for dreams
for a future.
Love is your gift of thankfulness
a willingness to share of yourselves with others.

Without Love there is deceit -- selfishness.
Faith - Hope - Love
all gifts.
They are yours.
Use them.
The less you use them
the more your flame fades away.

The Road Map

Every night when I lie in bed
I talk to GOD in my way,
I thank HIM for HIS blessings;
But especially for today.

Many years have now gone past,
Since I was first struck down.
I've wondered why I made it through,
And why I'm still around.

I've never questioned why it was
Or what HE had me do.
I only know there is a plan,
And I will see it through.

They say we're given mountains,
That we must always climb.
But He'll never give you a problem
That can't be solved with time.

Just look at every setback,
As a test of HIS true love.
And know that HE is always there,
Watching from above.

You may not get the answer,
That you were praying for.
But you can find your way out,
By just looking for the door.

For when that door is opened;
And GOD'S love fills up your heart.
Then you will know what true love is,
And you'll never more depart.

Remember, you are special,
Just follow all HIS signs.
Go travel life's long highway
Always stay between the lines.

Dedicated to all those who have asked WHY?

My Evening Prayer

O Great Spirit
Grant me time to think
It is the source of Your power
Stand beside me and guide
me in my darkest hour

Grant me the wisdom to read and learn
For it is the fountain of wisdom
for all my needs
Come to me on my evening calls
when my prayers are placed
My heart stands alone and open
for Your daily grace

Guide me to the path of happiness
and make me friend to all mankind
One to hold and trust
Help me show them peace
Help me to make my work meaningful
before I come to You for rest

Let my time on earth be one of charity
and when I come home knowing
I have done my best

Grant me time to love and be loved,
as it is your greatest gift of all
This I know
As I am of your Spirit and
Grace to others I shall show

God's Word

To the weary pilgrim, I am a good staff.
To the one who sits in gloom, I am a glorious light.
To those who stoop beneath heavy burdens, I am sweet rest.
To him who has lost his way, I am a safe guide.
To those who have been hurt by sin, I am a healing balm.
To the discouraged, I whisper glad messages of hope.
To those who are distressed by the storms of life, I am an anchor.
To those who suffer in lonely solitude, I am a cool,
soft hand resting on a fevered brow.
O, child of man, to best defend me, just use me!

************************

Those that preserve their integrity remain unshaken by the storm of daily life.
They do not stir like leaves on a tree or follow the herd where it runs.
In their minds remains the ideal attitude and conduct of living.
This is not something given to them by others.
It is their roots...it is a strength that exist deep within them.

************************

My Creator, let me realize the power of choice. Let me see the
advantages of changing my beliefs. Today, if I am judging my
brother, let me change my beliefs to acceptance. If my thoughts
are of anger, let me change them to love. Let my eyes only see You
in everything and every person............
