Chastity.....It's Worth The Wait

It's worth the wait 
O virgin soul 
To guard the gate of passion's garden 
Until you walk with another as one. 
It's worth the fight 
The labor 
Of longing 
And not fulfilling 
Until you vow eternal exclusivity 
Before your Maker 
And all creation.

For when you enter 
Though awkward 
And inexperienced 
You bear the blessing 
Of knowing 
That all the wonder 
The surprise 
Hid in this realm of deepest uniting 
Has been saved as sweetest romance 
For you and your beloved alone. 
And there you may explore

Untainted 
Unspoiled 
To sing 
Play 
Dance 
Never to depart 
This special world 
Shaped by God 
For joy.

This is my beloved,

I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine

A bride.....A commitment robed in elegance.

"I'll be with you forever." 

Tomorrow bringing hope today. Promised purity faithfully delivered.

For Mothers' Day, I wrote a poem to my new mother-in-law.  It reads as follows: 

       Mom-in-Law  (12 May 2002)

How beautiful 
Is the blaze of friendship
When two families marry
And become
As one.
How precious
The unity
When two so very different heartbeats
Learn to dance
In harmony.
And how pleasant
The flow of Heavenly grace
Whose Law of perfection
Acts to bring children everywhere
Created separate and apart
Into the joy
Of sacred oneness 
And there you and me
As though from two opposite realms of existence
Into the simplicity
Of one common embrace. 
At times
I stop and ponder
This grand and new creation of surprise
And I wonder
What it will be like
Someday
When we
Redeemed from being outlaws in sin 
Will stand forever joined in Marriage
To the Lamb of Life
And find beside Him
A myriad new brothers and sisters
Mothers and fathers
To meet with happy expectation.
Oh, may we ever cherish this journey
Of adventure
Of union
Of love.
