If I were in Charge of the World
If I were in charge of the world,
What a wonderful world it would be.
I’d make the fighting stop,
And peace and freedom you’d see.
There would be no hungry people,
For everyone would share.
For the whole world get along,
And everyone would care.
Children and parents would be happy,
Grandparents, cousins and friends.
For we’d all take care of each other,
And the fun would never end.
People would enjoy their jobs,
And kids would like school.
For I’d make sure everything was fun,
That would be my rule
There would be no more taxes,
I’d grow a money tree.
And all the money from the tree,
Would go straight to me.
I’d share it with the whole world,
And that would be so cool.
Cause not a single kid,
Would go hungry after school.
All things that kids like would be cheap,
Like play station and bikes.
And there would be field trip every week,
Like Disney World and hikes.
Oh if I were in charge of the world,
It would be a better place.
Cause everyone would get along,
Among the human race.

There once was a boy
Who was fishing for bass.

So all fish bypassed.
Narrative
Day Before Summer
The day before summer
When all through the school.
Not a student was working,
Not even a fool.
They ran through the halls
Screaming for joy.
For school was now over
For each girl and boy.
The teachers were weeping
Throughout the whole day.
For they couldn’t get the students
To do anything but play.
They tried to convince them
To settle once more.
But all that happened was
They headed for the door.
So the teachers got desperate
And thought of a plan.
They thought they would trick them
But the children just ran.
Finally they caught them
And held on real tight.
They wouldn’t let go
They used all of their might.
They tied up the kids
To a very large pole.
But the kids pushed it over
And it began to roll.
The day finally ended
The students went home.
And the teachers just stood there
And let out a moan.
Quatrain
When its time for bed
I like to rest my head.
But when it is day
I like to go out and play.

Camping
I like to go camping
In the summer time.
Riding my bike in the breeze.
I swim in the lake,
I hike on the trails
And I canoe down a stream.
Late a night
When the stars are out
We sit around a fire.
We roast marshmallows
Till Mom said its bed.
Then we all say goodnight

The sun is shining
The children go out to play
Then it starts to rain

Rain drops
Fall on my head
My hair gets very wet
I pull out my umbrella
Too late!
