My, oh my there's just something about summer that makes me feel almost
giddy with excitement.Perhaps I am remeniscent of my childhood days
of flinging open the school door for the last time before summer vacation.
Or mabe it's all of those camping trip memories I have tucked away.
I don't know for sure but I just love summer. I would have to say one
of the best things about summer is the sound of crickets outside my bedroom
window at night while a cool fan spins the air around inside my room.
I think God timed the seasons just right. For when I am exhausted of one,
He sends the next, right on time. His creation is truly marvelous.
Another thing I love so much about summer is being outside
so often. Whether it is
gardening
, swimming, making popscicles and ice cream cones for the children
or just taking an after dinner stroll with my family, it is just nice
to be so close to God's creation. Perhaps I will have to start canning
soon to prepare for the cold days of winter. I love to be able
to preserve a little of the hot summer to share on a cold winter's day!
