Tips and Tricks for Homemakers
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children,
guide the house,
give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

things of life which are
the real ones after all.

I would have to say the most important word in homemaking is
ROUTINE!
I have found that if I stick to a daily routine I am able
to get everything done that I need to and am
less likely to fall behind. So I made up a daily schedule
which I have put on the fridge. Here is an
example of one:
~
Sunday~the Lord's Day~REST!
Monday~ironing and mending
Tuesday~vacuum and dust all rooms
Wednesday~clean out the fridge
Thursday~clean the bathroom(s)
Friday~vacuum and sweep all floors
Saturday~water houseplants~mop all floors
~
Occasionally I will need to switch things around a bit depending
on which season it is. (i.e. summer~water garden/lawn, etc.) But for
the most part this works pretty well. Keep in mind these chores are in
addition to the 'upkeep' of my home such as doing the dishes,
laundry, picking up around the house, etc. If at the end of the day
I find I have a bit of time left over (which I usually do, even with
three
~sometimes four!~ children running around) I will take a few
minutes to de~clutter something. The computer desk, end table,
kitchen table~whatever needs it! I do try to stop once my hubby
comes home from work (around 4:45) so that I can get started
on supper. Again, find a routine that works for you and stick with
it each day! It is really simple to follow and doesn't require a
tremendous amount of time as long as you stick with it and
keep up with it!
Below, you will find some homemaking links which I
hope will be as helpful to you as they have been to me!
May God bless
you as you serve Him in your home!
