On the morning of Friday, March 1, 1996, we decided, on a whim really, to drive to Reno, Nevada and get married. We had already decided we were going to eventually tie the knot but we were waiting to have enough money for a wedding. We soon realized that if we waited until we were financially able to, we'd probably never get married! So we drove to the Starlight Wedding Chapel and became man and wife before four witnesses; the preacher, his two secretaries and three week old Jacob! One year later, on Saturday, March 8, 1997, we exchanged vows in front of our friends and family at our then home church. It was the wedding day I'd always wanted.
