(1) THE FUNDAMENTALS OF FAITH (1 Cor 1:10; Acts 2:42)
I beseech you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there
be no divisions among you, and that you all continue
steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship.
(2) THE WORD OF GOD (2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Peter 2:2)
The Bible is the inspired words from God, and is the
revelation from God to man. It is the infallible rule of
faith and conduct and thus is always superior to
conscience and reason but not contrary to reason.
(3) ONE TRUE GOD (Deut 6:4; Mark 12:29; Matt 28:19)
There is but one omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent
true God. He has revealed Himself by embodying the
principles of relationship and association as Father,
Son and Holy Ghost.
(4) UNITY OF ONE BEING (John 1:18;15:26;17:11-21)
Because these three eternal distinct and related persons
of the Godhead are in a perfect state of unity, there is only
one Lord Almighty and He is one.
(5) IMMANUEL (Matt 1:23;1 John 4:2-14; Rev 1:13;14:17)
The Lord Jesus Christ is the proper Son of God. He is
acknowledged to be both God and man by way of the
immaculate conception of the Holy Ghost. Thus He was
God with us! He is both divine and eternal in nature and
the only begotten of the Father! His title Son of God
describes His proper Deity and His title Son of Man
describes His humanity.
(6) MAN'S FAILURE AND REDEMPTION (Gen 1:26-31;3:17)
Man was created perfect and in the very image of God -
a reproduction of Himself on earth. By voluntary
transgression and disobedience man fell from that
glorious state of fellowship with God. Now man's only
hope of restoration is through Jesus Christ the Son of
God who bought man's redemption at Calvary.
(7) SALVATION FOR MAN (Titus 2:11;3:5-7;Rom 10:13-15)
Man is saved from his fallen state by the shed blood of
Jesus Christ. Regeneration and renewing of the Holy
Ghost is shed upon him richly and freely through the
Saviour Jesus Christ. This gift has been bestowed upon
man freely and is the gift of God. It cannot be earned by
deeds or works. Man can only obtain this by repentance
of sin. He then becomes an heir of God according to the
hope of eternal life.
(8) EVIDENCE OF SALVATION
The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is
the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16).
The outward evidence to all men is the life of right living
and true love for holiness (Luke 1:73-75; Titus 2:12-14)
The presence in the regenerated life will bear witness
of an inward change of heart and thought (Gal 5:22).
Brotherly love will be evident (1 John 13:35; Heb 13:1)
(9) THE PROMISE OF THE FATHER (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4)
All believers are entitled to and encouraged to expect
and earnestly seek the promise of the Father which is
the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire according to the
command of our Lord Jesus Christ.
With this promise comes the enduement of power for
life and service, the bestowment of spiritual gifts and
their use in the ministry.
(10) FULL CONSUMMATION OF THE BAPTISM IN THE
HOLY GHOST (Acts 2:4;10:44-46;11:14-16;15:7-9)
The full consummation of the baptism of believers in
the Holy Ghost is indicated by the initial physical sign
of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God
gives them utterance. This wonderful experience is
distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the
New Birth.
(11) THE GOAL FOR BELIEVERS - ENTIRE SANCTIFI-
-CATION (Heb 12:14;1 Peter 1:15-16;1 Thess 5:23-24)
By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the
command,'Be ye holy for I am holy'.
Entire sanctification is the will of God for all believers
and should be earnestly pursued by walking in
obedience to God's Word.
(12) THE CHURCH (Eph 1:22-23;2:22;Heb 12:23)
The church is a living body, even the body of Christ;
a habitation of God through the Spirit.
Every local church is an integral part of the church
of the first-born written in heaven. This body received
divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great
commission.
(13) THE MINISTRY (Mark 16:15-20;Eph 4:11-13)
Let our ministries be divinely called and scripturally
ordained by God. The command and desire of God
is to evangelize the world. This was spoken by the
chief cornerstone, Jesus Christ. This is to be the
chief concern of the church.
(14) WATER BAPTISM (Matt 28:19;Acts 10:47-48;Rom6:4)
The ordinance of baptism by immersion should be
observed by all who have really repented of their sins
and have truly believed in Christ as Saviour.
By doing this they declare to the world that they
belong to God.
(15) THE LORD'S SUPPER (1 Cor 11:26;2 Peter 1:4)
The ordinance consisting of the emblems of bread
and the fruit of the vine is symbolic of the suffering
and death of the saviour.
By partaking of this spiritual experience we express
our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Is is a memorial of His suffering and death for man and
is the privilege of all believers. Only non-alcoholic
wines must be used.
(16) DIVINE HEALING (Isaiah 53:4-5;Matt 8:16-17)
Deliverance from sickness has been provided for in
Christ's Atonement and is the privilege of all Christ's
followers!
(17) LAYING ON OF HANDS (James 5:14;Mark 16:18)
Every believer is encourged to pray for those who are
ill. As believers lay their hands upon a person and
pray for their release from that illness they are being
the extended hands of Jesus. It is only in His name
that healing can be received, it is also a gift of God.
(18) THE BLESSED HOPE (1 Thess 4:16-17;Rom 8:23)
The resurrection of those who have died knowing
Jesus Christ as Lord. The catching away of Christ's
followers which are alive and remain is the blessed
hope of the ture church. It is the blessed hope of all
believers in all ages. We believe the time is near.
This shall occur before the millenium.
(19) MILLENIAL REIGN (Rev 2:27;Isaiah 11:1-10)
Christ's rule on the earth will be 1,000 years!
Assisting in this rule shall be the believers of all
ages. The rule shall be one of right. Wrong will not
be allowed. The beasts will loose their fierceness
and the earth will revert back towards it's initial state
before sin entered.
(20) THE LAKE OF FIRE (Rev 21:8;20:11-15;20:10)
The devil and his followers, the beast and the false
prophets, and whosoever was not found written in
the Lamb's book of life along with the fearful,
unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers,
sorcerers, idolaters and liars shall be cast into this
everlasting place of separation from God and all that
is good. It is burning with fire and brimstone and is
called the second death.
(21) NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH (2 Pet 3:13)
All believers look for this New Heavens and
New Earth:
the abode of all true believers as their final
destination. Only good will be there!
This is the great expectation of every believer.
(See Revelation Ch.21-22).
Amen
