2. Use the arrow keys to move Jonah around the ocean.
3. Avoid the whales when they rise to the top of the ocean. Whales rise in three stages.
They can not engulf you when rising in the first two stages. When whales are at the top of the ocean,
they look like this:
4. When you grab a life-ring you are safe for 10 seconds. The life-ring will
turn green when there is only two seconds of protection left.
5. When you grab a fish you are safe for 5 seconds. The fish will
turn green when there is only one second of protection left. You also can feed the fish to any whale. This causes the whale to go away because he is full. As time goes by, the whales will multiply, so feed as many as you can!!
6. When you grab an apple you will triple your speed for 8 seconds. The apple will
turn green when there is two seconds of super speed left.
7. Watch out, as the game progresses, the whales get faster and hungrier!
8. Click 'p'to pause the game.
HINT: Keep in motion because the longer you hold down an arrow, the faster you go.
Scoring:
1 Point for every second you don't get eaten.
25 Points for every inner tube you jump on.
40 Points for every apple eaten.
50 Points for every fish caught.
50 Points for every whale fed by a fish.
Jonah
God spoke to Jonah,son of Amittai, " Go to Nineveh for I have heard them cry.
Tell them they are wicked. Preach against their sin"
God waited patiently for his servant to begin.
Jonah was having none of it,he jumped on a boat and fled
bought a ticket to Tarshish and settled into bed!
A great wind came on the sea. A violent storm arose
the captain woke up Jonah "Pray to your God until this weather goes!"
Drawing lots meant Jonah got the blame, fleeing from God was a futile game
"Hey guys, I know this storm is 'cause of me,
its best all round if I'm chucked in the sea."
So they did just that they flung him over deck,
suddenly things went calm, they were saved from certain shipwreck
A huge,mighty fish swallowed Jonah alive
for three days and three nights he prayed he would survive
Inside the fish Jonah spent time in prayer
"Thanks for helping me God and showing how much you care"
The Lord heard Jonah and at his command
the fish vomited Jonah onto dry land.
Again God spoke to Jonah, son of Amittai,
"Go to Nineveh for I have heard them cry."
Jonah obeyed ,to Nineveh he went
telling the people of their need to repent
The people believed and declared a fast
went around in sackcloth with their heads downcast
The king decreed and issued a call "Perhaps God in his mercy will forgive us all."
When God saw they'd turned from their evil ways,he did not destroy them in those forty days
But Jonah became angry and very displeased, that God's anger at Nineveh had so suddenly eased
"I knew you'd do that God and that's why I fled, now take my life-I'd be better dead"
"But Jonah , why are you mad ?"
, Jonah ignored him and sat down, sad
The sun was hot so God provided a vine to grow up over Jonah as a symbolic sign
The next morning God took the vine away,"God it would be so much better if I just died today"
"But Jonah why are you mad? You have no right to be feeling sad.
You're concerned about that vine , but it was me who made it grow
I was concerned about Nineveh and I wanted them to know."
How will you react when God sends you?
Will you be willing and obedient as he wants you to?
Don't be a Jonah, do what God plans
Do what he tells you and leave the rest in God's hands.
