Many believe that everything there is came into being by it's purposeless self without any need of a supernatural intelligence to design and order creation. According to evolutionary thought, in the beginning matter, energy, or whatever word you care to use, appeared out of nothing, or has always existed. Initially in a chaotic state, it took on form and order over aeons of time by shear designer less random chance. |

"In the beginning God created." In case you do not have a Bible at hand, the full translation of Genesis 1 v 1 : 14, is included. Please think about this as it is the very foundation of all Judaeo/Christian belief. The infinite eternal God who is the Intelligent Designer that brought everything in to existence. And He has communicated to us, "true truth."

Evolution. Impersonal Beginning "Beginning with the impersonal, (no intelligent design, random chance) everything, including man, must be explained in terms of the impersonal plus time plus chance. There are no other factors in the formula, because there are no other factors that exist. If we begin with an impersonal, we cannot then have some form of teleological concept. |

No one has ever demonstrated
how time plus chance, beginning with an impersonal, can produce the needed
complexity of the universe, let alone the personality of man. No one has
given us a clue to this.

If we are gracious and assume that somehow matter existed at the beginning, then we are still left with this fact; How could matter give rise to information? Scientists have never seen one example where matter gives rise to even one piece of information. In evolution, random chance matter had to produce the information and code system for life to start with. This would have needed to happen millions of times. Chance Matter Impersonal chance matter, (devoid of intelligent design) would have needed to bring in to existence the very building blocks of all life, DNA. But there is no way it could have even known this necessity without intelligence, let alone acted upon it. Take a simple analogy, a piece of rock becomes a great sculpture. It is made to look beautiful by the skill and intelligence of the person that sculptured it. In itself it is still a piece of rock, devoid of feelings or intelligence. Yet to believe in atheistic evolution, it is necessary to assume that purely by designer less chance, "matter had to produce the information and code systems for life to start with." Assuming one is aware of the complexity of DNA, I take my hat off to anyone's FAITH in evolution. Where, even DNA was a product of designer less chance. The information contained in one piece of DNA the size of a pin head is the equivalent of each individual letter in a pile of books stacked from the earth to the moon 384,000 Kilometres away. Incredible? Times it by 500 piles of books and you would be nearer the mark. Source W. (Everything has to work else nothing would work) Although common to plants & animals alike, applied human intelligence, and high technology equipment plus many years of concentrated study, 50 years, by the 'great minds,' has still not succeeded in "completely" understanding DNA's workings.Things needed to take on form and order, but they could not have known this. According to natural history devotees, the blue print of life was a random chance occurrence in space, time history. Why has not human intellect aided by computer technology, not succeeded in eliminating detrimental bacteria & viruses? If every thing there is, was a random chance occurrence in the first place; the well meaning, dedicated, university educated intelligentsia should by now have succeeded in finding cures for all our ills. A 'product of chance virus' may be constantly changing and taking on new forms, but how can that compete with 'applied computer aided, human intelligence?' Some scientists have now accepted the fact, there must have been a superior intelligence/designer at the point of creation. However, this does not necessarily mean in their eyes, that it was the Judaeo/Christian God, that created.

The evidence for the truth and reliability of the bible is staggering. Why & how could purposeless, un designed, impersonal, random chance matter, bring in to existence the extreme complexity and order we see now? Only life can bring forth life. Intelligence is always needed to beget intelligence. Only 'new species' and not new kinds of animals can be reproduced (i.e. dogs, horses). DNA research reveals that the very building blocks of life contain an invisible language, (Information). This language of codes very beginning, baffles the scientific world. Scientists have never observed even one example where matter gives rise to information. Emotions and thoughts are part of the invisible life within us. "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Hebrews 11v 3. "Things" do exist! We are confronted with the fact, plant, animal and human life is actually there, complete and knowable. Jean Paul Sartre has said 'The basic philosophic question is that something is there rather than nothing is there'. Dr. Francis A. Schaeffer develops this: 'Nothing that is worth calling a philosophy can side-step the question of the fact that things do exist and that they exist in their present form and complexity'. The multiple universes, to our own planet. Animals, plants & all forms of life, correctly proportioned and complete in themselves, are, according to evolutionists, shear chance occurrences in space, time history. This includes us, the complicated and personal human beings. We, with a brain and the ability to think. We, who can display wisdom, understanding, feelings, conscience, moods, imagination, abilities and a sense of humour. We, with ears to hear, noses to smell, taste buds to taste, eyes to see, senses to appreciate. All in the right place! We, with a sense of touch with countless millions of signal lines to the brain. We, with our co-ordination of the senses! We, who have reproductive organs to sustain life.Without a designer, the theory of evolution has been disproved at it's very base. We could in fact stop at this point: Philosophy offers the explanation for our existence.

We do not witness to the truth of Christianity simply because society functions better with a belief in God. Although statistics prove an increase in law less ness and decreasing standards since the theory of Evolution was considered fact, this has no bearing on our motives. If the Judaeo/Christian faith was nothing more than a man made philosophy that happened to work, then: "If man is simply a product of chance, kicked up out of the slime by chance, why bother to march straight forward as if life as a whole makes sense?" Whilst desiring a just society, we know that ultimately no matter how good a persons intentions were to achieve this, in the end it would count for nothing for death would be the final end. To imply that big business is backing Creationism simply to try to get back to the stability we had when values had meaning, for their own profitable ends, is hypocritical to say the least. Web Master BBC I was interested recently to see my 15 month old Grand Daughter doing the "Dinosaur" dance whilst watching the BBC's Boogie Beebies TV program. Concurrent with atheistic evolutionary belief, the presumed predominantly very young viewers, were informed that Dinosaurs existed millions of years ago. Apparently the (jokingly impartial) BBC can't even wait for a child to get out of nappies now before it starts it's unproven evolutionist propaganda. Such a shame that an otherwise good program should be used for propaganda on impressionable young minds. Unfortunately in the UK, one has to pay a TV licence fee to the BBC, before one can legally watch any channel, even Christian. Such is it's power that even democratically elected governments flinch before its might. New Testament Grace & Old Testament Law are: TWO SEPARATE SYSTEMS. Whilst providing truly excellent material in witnessing to God's existence and the need to accept Jesus Christ as Saviour & Lord, some Creationist sites, Creationist TV programmes, and many Established Churches, still fail to tell us about the difference between Old Testament Law & New Testament Grace. Without imparting this knowledge, the impression can be given that the Christian life is a dry, "thou shalt not," law based existence One of the reasons given why some Evolutionists, who on realising the shear impossibility of their belief, still will not accept Christianity, is possibly because they think they would be subject to God's law as portrayed in the Ten Commandments. Without wishing to try to denigrate the authority of the "Big Ten" in any way, I am burdened to point out the following New Testament passages none the less. These scriptures refer to their application after Grace through Jesus Christ. Judge for yourself. Law = 10 Commandments + Other laws given to Israel. "I will not nullify the grace of God; if righteousness comes by law, (The ten commandments and various other laws that God gave to His people) then Christ died for nothing." ... Galatians 2:21 NEB "Now all the words of the law (The Ten Commandments plus other laws) are, addressed, as we know, to those who are within the pale of the law, so that no one may have anything to say in self-defence, but the whole world may be exposed to the judgement of God. For no human being can be justified in the sight of God for having kept the law: law brings only the consciousness of sin." (How we know what sin is) ... Romans 3: 19-20 NEB "Before this faith came, we were close prisoners in the custody of law, pending the revelation of faith. Their conscience is called as witness, and their own thoughts argue the case on either side, against them or even for them, on the day when God judges the secrets of human hearts through Christ Jesus. There is
a strange fascination abroad with natural history. The imagination is
stimulated by visions of the primeval swamp surrounded by dinosaurs and various
other creatures. Children especially are drawn into this web. Their whole
outlook on life can so easily be manipulated to embrace an evolutionary
humanistic understanding. Particularly as in many areas of secular society the
belief is actively encouraged. Films such as Jurassic Park and an abundance of natural
history TV programs have helped to popularise the dinosaur phenomenon. The many
discoveries of dinosaur remains are purported to add credence to evolutionary theory. To
surmise this proves evolution is ridiculous. On the contrary, these mighty
chance happenings, (if you accept an evolutionary viewpoint), in themselves
prove design. According to modern day reconstruction, they were magnificent
beasts. To observe their skeletal arrangement begs the question, by chance? The word Dinosaur is not found in the Bible because it was not
invented until the 1800's. However descriptions of these creatures are given,
they simply have a different name i.e. Behemoth. |

Complimentary Organs How convenient in an evolutionary time span that man (or animals) developed organs that were complimentary to each other! (by chance) What would have happened if the time factor had been out of step by a few years, or months?
Perfectly formed! Everything in the right place! A Product of shear random creator less chance? Common sense dictates, there has to be a creator of all. A superior being that is infinitely more intelligent and far greater than anything a finite man can comprehend. Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. 'Evolution' Generally, people hold to the theory of evolution as fact, being constantly indoctrinated by the media into accepting it as such. No longer feeling it necessary to substantiate the evolutionary hypothesis, or indeed allow Creation Scientists air time to 'un edited' argue their case, the theory of evolution is promoted for all it's worth. Media programs seem less and less impartial and are known to resist, even suppress, contrary creationist arguments. Compromising Scripture At best, the theory of evolution is a pseudo science. Yet for wants of a little research, the general public on the whole accept the cleverly designed orchestrations that subtly promote evolution, as fact. Even many Christians confronted with the pressure to believe the evolutionary hypothesis, accede to the view, evolution was the way God 'done it,' and thus compromise the Bible. A common quotation being that a day unto the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousands years is as a day. Indoctrination The proponents of atheistic, evolutionary theory, exert much influence and pressure. This has always been the case right from Darwin's; "Origin of the species." Known evolutionists have received preferential treatment for key posts in universities and other institutions of influence. Governments have been cajoled in to it's acceptance. The secular media in the UK promotes / brainwashes, it's listeners / readers / viewers into subscribing to the product of chance theory. Creation science is as a consequence, given little air time on the BBC or ITV. With the advent of Satellite television, one is availed the opportunity to research an abundance of TV channels. If one is prepared to search beyond the hype, one can view good Christian channels and sometimes Creation Scientists are included in their programs. The Pressure to Accept Evolution as Fact With modern education subscribing to a relative thinking, evolutionary
viewpoint as being 'scientific,' examinations have been
failed because the student did not adhere to the 'politically correct'
syllabus. There
have been instances where teachers who are creationists have been warned off, or
even discharged from schools for expressing their beliefs. A Higher Form of Animal? Many teenagers leave school believing their ancestors were apes and that they themselves are no more than a higher form of animal life. This explains why some have no respect for Law & Order or Society in general? If society has no absolute basis for truth, "Why bother to march straight forward as if life as a whole makes sense?"
Fact With advanced technology at his disposal, the scientist is beginning to unravel some of the mysteries of the universe and even life itself. Mysteries that can be discovered because they did not happen by accident. They perfectly fit in to the whole designed order of things. The Christian should not be surprised at man's advancements. Did not Daniel prophecy "In the last days there will be a great out-pouring of knowledge?" Humankind's rapid achievements over the past hundred years greatly supersedes that of previous generations. Taken in accord with the predictions made in the Bible's end time prophecies, man cannot say "I didn't know." Fact is fact! By believing that every thing is chance, the scientist is starting on the wrong premise? The scientist whether specialising in medical research, or not, is starting with something that is there. They did not 'create' it. Much store has been made by the secular media about 'Dolly,' the sheep. Cloned from existing cells. When man can take the soil he has created from nothing, use it to make a human being from scratch, then perhaps we can give their arguments credibility. Remember, according to generally accepted propaganda, originally we all came about by chance, without supernatural aid or design!
The Answer The viable explanation for the complexities of the universe, and life itself! Is contained in the Judaeo/Christian Bible "The Holy Bible." In it the Creator of All, has communicated truth, to His creation. Attacked & despised, never disproved, the Bible has stood the test of time. Statements made in it are constantly being proven. From the archaeologists discovery of hidden artefacts, long ago mentioned in scripture, To the end time prophecies telling of the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel and the resulting middle east conflict. From our Lord's fore telling of the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, (which happened 70 years later when Titus was Roman Emperor) To the 300 odd prophecies concerning Himself made hundreds of years before He was born. Even telling of the way He would die, when crucifixion was not heard of. Each prophecy fulfilled to the letter. From the documented increase in famines and earthquakes: Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. To the state of the world just prior to His coming again: 2ndTimothy3:1-4 Amplified Bible - Just the scripture itself! But understand this, that in the last days there will set in perilous times of great stress and trouble - hard to deal with and hard to bear. 2) For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self - centred, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate (greedy) desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters, They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffers), disobedient to parents, un-grateful, unholy and profane. 3) [They will be] without natural (human) affection (callous and inhuman), relentless - admitting of no truce or appeasement. [They will be] slanderers - false accusers, trouble makers; intemperate and loose in morals and conduct, uncontrolled and fierce, haters of good. 4) [They will be] treacherous (betrayers), rash [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather than lovers of God. And Romans 1: 24-32 Amplified Bible - Just the Scripture Itself! 24) Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonouring of their bodies among themselves, abandoning them to the degrading power of sin. 25) Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen - so be it. [Jer. 2:11.] 26) For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one; 27) And the men also turned from natural relations with women and were set ablaze (burned out, consumed) with lust for one another, men committing shameful acts with men and suffering in their own bodies and personalities the inevitable consequences and penalty of their wrong doing and going astray, which was [their] fitting retribution. 28) And so, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God or approve Him or consider Him worth the knowing, God gave them over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome; 29) Until they were filled - permeated and saturated - with every kind of unrighteousness, iniquity, grasping and malice. [They were} secret backbiters and gossipers, 30) Slanderers, hateful to and hating God, full of insolence, arrogance [and] evil, disobedient and undutiful to parents. 31) [They were] without understanding, conscienceless and faithless, heartless and loveless [and] merciless. 32) Though they are fully aware of God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them themselves but approve and applaud others who practice them. Why? Why? Applies to all theories alluding to the existence of being. Whether the big bang is accepted as truth, or other theories supersede it. If there is not an intelligence behind it all, then it is random chance occurrence in a random chance environment. My Own Boss Rather than admit they are accountable to the true God, the God that so loves us He sent His Son to die for our sins, many scientists rather subscribe to evolutionary hypothesis, than submit to Divine Authority. This has nothing to do with the evidence that proves the Genesis record to be true, it's just that they don't want to believe it as true. They are infatuated with the autonomous freedom that believing mankind is King gives. And you can't argue with an infatuation. |

Theme to the Erring Christian Series: Grace ... We believe God's Word the Bible But we also acknowledge that through the many translations of the Hebrew & Greek, some discrepancies in translation have occurred. We suspect, (and in this, we do not know for sure,) copyright may have been a factor. Older bible manuscripts are sometimes found that are nearer to the time the actual events took place both in the old testament (Hebrew) and new testament (Greek). One is always interested in newer translations. Significantly, there is normally little difference found in the text of bonafide scriptural passages. We are suspicious of some (politically correct) modern translations, and whilst there are many alternatives that are true, in our opinion, not all can confidently be relied on. For in depth study, the Amplified Bible is recommended. Apparently, it is virtually impossible to restrict translation to a word for word format in order to obtain the full meaning. This bible gives the full shades of meaning that were intended. The New English Bible (NEB) & the Old King James version, (KJV) are also used together with the Thompson chain reference bible. The updated King James, has not yet been purchased. We would be very interested to hear from specialists in this field. |
