Churches do not always communicate the gospel (the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ) to the very people that think they are too bad to be saved. People that might be considered on the fringes of society, but are still loved by God. Salvation is available to all, not just some. 

How many there are who are rich in their own good works and cannot therefore come to Christ! "I will not be saved," they say, "in the same way as the harlot (prostitute), or swearer. "What go to heaven in the same way as them!" ... Spurgeon.

Thank you Lord for your wonderful grace for you are willing to save any and all of us.

Too bad to be saved?  

Many Prostitutes and Sex Workers think they are too bad to be saved. They are, fact! So is everyone else on this planet. From the regular church goer who might, or might not, do his best to live a good life, to the non believer who may still be considered a good person. None of us are good enough. We all fall short of God's uncompromisingly perfect standard.

The bible tells us there are none of us righteous, no not one. Jesus taught in the 'Sermon on the Mount,' that even a sinful thought will have condemned us. 

We are all sinners whether we live a good life, or not. To try to inherit salvation by the keeping of God's commandments [laws] (and there are over 613 of them, not just 10) is as impossible as trying to be saved by good works. 

Trying to keep God's commandments can be compared to taking an examination. To pass, i.e. to inherit eternity with God, 100% correct answers are required. If we only achieve 99%, we will have failed. Just as surely as if we only achieved 5%. No one on earth is capable of fulfilling all of God's laws. 

However, the good news (Gospel) is: Jesus, God's Son, fulfilled all the law's requirements on our behalf. The law's demands were fully met in Him. ... "By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances - which He annulled." Ephesians 2 : 15 Amplified Bible

Our Call

Jesus came in the world to save sinners, and whether prostitute or priest, we are all guilty of sin. 

Without compromising scripture, it is our wish to communicate the good news of salvation especially to you, the sex workers of this age.  

Matthew 22 : 8-10 KJV

8) Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 

9) Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 

10) So these servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.  

Our call is that you personally come to know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour by becoming 'born again.' (anew, from above, saved) You have the opportunity to have your sins blotted out, not just until you sin again, but for good. 

Grace = Unmerited, Unearned, Pardon & Forgiveness. 

Salvation is a free gift from God, we can do nothing to earn it.

Although salvation is a free gift available for all to receive, we at Rahab's Church feel a special enmity and a particular burden for the sex worker. We have in fact been involved with the "profession" for many years. 

Mary Magdalene, generally accepted as a former prostitute, was the first to see the risen Christ. Samson, Hosea, and many other Biblical characters are known to have "KNOWN Prostitutes."

Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy-laden and over burdened, and I will cause you to rest --- I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest --- relief, ease and refreshment and blessed quiet --- for your souls. Free Will

God has given us completely free will to accept Jesus, or reject Him. He did not create Puppets or Robots but gave us free choice. Those of us who genuinely accept Jesus as their own personal Saviour and Lord, will have their sins completely washed clean by His precious blood. Those of us that do not, are still in sin and will come up for judgement. 

If we repent of our sins and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead (Rom. 10:9a), God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins (1 John 1:9) and by His grace He covers our sins by the blood of Jesus (Eph 1:7) and saves us (Rom 10:9b), at which time the Holy Spirit takes up residence in our lives, without the aid of human hands (1 John 5:7-12, Rom. 8:9-11, Acts 2:38, Eph. 1:13, 1 Cor. 6:19-20). Man has a God-created void that can only be filled by being born again and by an ongoing personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ. ... Get Saved

Our Church

Together For God

Let us truly love one another as our Lord loves us. Spirit lead & Spirit filled, "See how they love one another." Without love we are but a sounding gong, a tinkling cymbal and the love of God is not in us.

Our Lord created originals not duplicates. We all have different shades of opinions and there is diversity, but diversity in the unity of God's love for us.

Let us be vigilant and prayerful. Let us discern what is of God, and what is not. Ever on our guard against false teaching and false doctrine. For true are the words: "The devil will use an ocean of truth, to hide a litre of deception." Simply honest servants of the Most High God, let us seek to do His will and cast our burdens on the one who loves us. "My burden is light, my yoke is easy."

About Doctrine

Our church doctrine is common to many legitimate churches. We are not a sect, or a cult. It is not our intention to misconstrue, mislead or liberalise biblical truths, but explore exactly what the Holy Bible, as the final authority, does say on such matters as prostitution. 

All of us have sinned and fall short of God's perfect standard. As such it is very important to understand: "The Old Testament LAW." This shows us what sin is. It was in fact designed to provoke man's sin nature TO CAUSE US TO SIN MORE. (Reverse Psychology .. tell a person not to do something and often they will do the opposite) St. Paul said in Roman's 5 : 20, "And the Law came in that transgression might increase." Why? To show us our need for a Saviour. ... New Testament Grace = Unmerited, Unearned, Pardon & Forgiveness through our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. 

Sin separates us from God? 

It is unpopular to talk of sin these days, but right from the fall, (Adam's Sin) sin has separated mankind from God. We were all born with the culpability to sin, it is inherited within us and there is nothing we can do to make up for it. Some people try to justify themselves by an abundance of good works, but as commendable as they are, they will not save them. Good works are the fruits of salvation, not the means to produce it. The Bible states: "There are none righteous, no not one for we all fall short of God's perfect standard." At our best we are as but "filthy rags." So if we can't earn our way in to heaven. How then can we inherit eternal life?

"To try to live a righteous life in our own strength, is like throwing raw meat in to a cage of half starved lions. It can't be done." 

The good news is, the cost of sin has been paid for on our behalf. Sin had to be atoned for else it would have condemned us for all eternity. God, the creator of all has provided the way for our salvation without compromising His standards one iota. John 3 : 16 states: "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus to pay the price for our sins." The perfect, sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ, died, in our place. On the third day He rose again from the dead. Perfect, Holy and Sinless, He conquered death, He took the world's sin on himself for those who accept His perfect sacrifice on their behalf. 

We can be seen as Holy & Righteous, because Jesus IS Holy & Righteous. Our sins can be seen as paid for in full. How? We must accept Jesus Christ as our own Personal Saviour and Lord. Ask Him to come into our life and ask His forgiveness for our sins. There is no other way of salvation, only God's way. Our redemption was purchased at tremendous agonising cost, we will have no excuse if we reject such a great sacrifice on our behalf. By accepting Jesus: We are saved by GRACE through FAITH in our perfect, sinless redeemer. 

FAQ   But one of the ten commandments says: "Thou shalt not commit adultery."

It does, and without accepting the perfect Son of God as our Saviour and Lord, we will be judged by the law. 

The Bible Says: "Before this faith came, (faith in Jesus) we were close prisoners in the custody of law, (The Ten Commandments) pending the revelation of faith. Thus the law was a kind of tutor in charge of us until Christ should come, when we should be justified through faith; and now that faith has come, the tutor's charge is at an end." (Belief in our Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour & Lord). Galatians 3: 23-25 NEB

I always thought that people who do good go to heaven and those who do bad things will go to hell.

The bible teaches there are none righteous, no not one, we all fall short of God's perfect standard. We are Saved by Grace through Faith, not by Works. (Things we do) Good works will not get us to heaven. There is nothing we can do to justify ourselves. Salvation is a free gift from God, but unless we accept it, we are still in our sin. The good news is; God has made a provision for our sins, the Lord Jesus Christ. He alone took on Himself our sins. Do you know Him as your Saviour & Lord? 

 I was told that I must change my ways before I can get saved 

Even if you did change your ways, you cannot earn salvation by works, i.e. by doing good deeds. How would you ever know if you were good enough? Without knowing Jesus Christ as your Personal Saviour, you are still in sin. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14 : 6 King James Version. Any sin would still condemn you. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom 6 : 23 King James Version ... ... Just as you are now ask Jesus in to your heart and know the wonder of God's love for you. "For by grace are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" ... Saved

A world without absolutes

Many years ago a social worker told a prostitute I knew; "You really must change your ways." She may just as well have said "Go swing on a lamp post." The prostitute was probably earning far more for a few hours work than the social worker did for a week. But more importantly this lady knew that if everything there is was simply a product of chance, (as many evolutionists would have us believe) whilst well meaning in her concern, the social worker had no means to justify her reasoning save for man made (consensus of opinion) law and society's (relative) values. ... Evolution? 

If we too live under the misconception that everything there is, is simply a product of chance (and no one can consistently live as if life does not make sense) and death is the final end, then nothing can ultimately matter. What is life's purpose? Why bother to act as if life makes sense. In fact despite the dressings of society, those that would judge you, some that would even convict you and imprison you, ultimately they have no absolute basis of truth to do so. Without an Absolute Basis for Truth, they have no higher means to justify their actions. They are simply left with a man made consensus of opinion law. ... Creation v Evolution

But God is there and we hope this series of web sites will help you to know this fact, personally. God is the Absolute basis for truth. He is not a convenient man made answer to life to try to give some vague foundation to justify values, The Judaeo / Christian God is the only answer to life that makes sense. Both Spiritually, Experientially and down to earth Logically. 

Jean Paul Sarte has said; "For a finite (Mankind) point to have any meaning, it must have an infinite reference point (God)." And Jean Paul Satre was not a Christian. The Judaeo / Christian God is our infinite reference point and he has communicated truth to His creation.

His commandments show us what sin is and our inability to live up to His perfect standard. They show us our need for a saviour for no man can be justified in the sight of God by his own efforts. God loves you too, personally, the sex worker. He loves you so much that He sent His only begotten sinless Son to die for your sins. To personally know Jesus, will change your life, supernaturally.

"Now all the words of the law (The Ten Commandments plus other laws) are, addressed, as we know, to those who are within the pale of the law, so that no one may have anything to say in self-defence, but the whole world may be exposed to the judgement of God. If we were perfect, holy & righteous, we would not need a saviour. If we could be saved by keeping the (divine) law, then Christ died needlessly. God wants us as we are now. We can't earn our way in to heaven, the admittance fee has been paid already. 

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9 KJV

Jesus said to those that would have stoned to death the woman caught in the act of adultery, (justified by Old Testament law) ... "Let him who is without sin among you, be the first to throw a stone at her."... John 8 : 7 Amplified Bible.

A thought for the day

All I want deep down is to know God's love fully in my life. There are areas of me that I closed to love long ago and my aim is to give Father access to all of me.

Have you closed your heart to the God that loves you so much He gave His only begotten son to die for your sins? 

He has been waiting so long for his loved ones to approach him and come home. To take a long drink of his goodness, embrace his peace, immerse themselves in the depth of His love.

John 3:16. Full translation of this classic verse. 

God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only-begotten (unique) Son, that whoever believes in (trusts, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish --- come to destruction, be lost --- but have eternal (everlasting) life.

Rahab's Church

Is named after the prostitute Rahab who was saved when she hid Joshua's spies. Rahab was also in the genealogy of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ via the Virgin Mary. Rahab as an ancestress of Jesus Christ proves beyond a doubt that God extends his mercy to all those who trust and demonstrate strong faith in Him.

Sex worker!

 Think you are too bad to be saved? Do you know that some of God's greatest apostle's had been great sinners? And some even after knowing God, committed great acts of sin. God's grace is far beyond human comprehension. 

Rahab was a prostitute ... saved and in the genealogy of the Lord Jesus Christ through the Virgin Mary. Samson was a womaniser. David was a shepherd boy chosen of God to be King of Israel. He had an affair with a married woman, Bathsheba, and she became pregnant by him. Her husband was so placed in the line of battle, that he was killed. (David's Later Confession Psalm 51) The Samaritan woman (whom Jesus met at the well) was divorced a number of times. Mary Magdalene a sinner (and believed to have been a prostitute) was the first person to see the risen Lord Jesus. 

St. Paul had the two greatest cultural backgrounds possible. He was well educated in both the Greek & Hebrew Culture and was thoroughly trained as a Pharisee. (Chuck Missler) Paul (original name was Saul) was zealous for Judaism, he hated and persecuted the new Christianity and watched Stephen being stoned to death for his belief. However, after a record of brutalizing and persecuting Christians, he himself was confronted by the risen Christ on the road to Damascus, where his original intent was to bring its believers to Jerusalem to be punished. After being confronted by the risen Lord, a complete change of heart ensued and he also changed his name to Paul. 

St. Paul 

"For I know that nothing good lodges in me"

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am not: I am un-spiritual, the purchased slave of sin, I do not even acknowledge my own actions as mine, for what I do is not what I want to do, but what I detest. But if what I do is against my will, it means that I agree with the law and hold it to be admirable. But as things are, it is no longer I who perform the action, but sin that lodges in me. For I know that nothing good lodges in me --- in my un-spiritual nature, I mean --- for though the will to do good is there, the deed is not. The good which I want to do, I fail to do; but what I do is the wrong which is against my will; and if what I do is against my will, clearly it is no longer I who am the agent, but sin that has its lodging in me. 

I discover this principle, then; that when I want to do the right, only the wrong is within my reach. In my inmost self I delight in the law of God, but I perceive that there is in my bodily members a different law, fighting against the law that my reason approves and making me a prisoner under the law that is in my members, the law of sin. 

Miserable creature that I am, who is there to rescue me out of this body doomed to death? God alone, through Jesus Christ our Lord! Thanks be to God! In a word then, I myself, subject to God's law as a rational being, am yet, in my un-spiritual nature, a slave to the law of sin. The conclusion of the matter is this: there is no condemnation for those who are united with Christ Jesus, because in Christ Jesus the life-giving law of the Spirit has set you free from the law of sin and death. St. Paul's letter to the ROMANS 7: 14 - 26, 8:1 - 3 N.E.B.

St. Paul's letter to the ROMANS 3: 21 - 24 Amplified Bible. 

21)  But now the righteousness of God has been revealed independently and altogether apart from law, although actually it is attested by the Law and the prophets.  22)  Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ, the Messiah. [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction,  23)  Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honour and glory which God bestows and receives.  24)  [All] are justified and made up-right and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favour and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus. 

Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians Chapter 15 verses 3 to 10 (Amplified Bible)

3) For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold],  [Isa. 53:5-12.]   4)  That He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold,  [Ps. 16:9, 10.]  5)  And [also] that He appeared to Cephas [Peter], then to the twelve.  6)  Then later He showed Himself to more than five hundred brethren at one time, the majority of whom, are still alive, but some have fallen asleep [in death].  7)  Afterwards He was seen by James, then by all the apostles  (the special messengers),  8) And last of all He appeared to me also, as to one prematurely and dead born [no better than an unperfected fetus among living men],  9)  For I am least [worthy] of the apostles, who am not fit to be called an apostle, because I once wronged and pursued and molested the church of God --- oppressing it with cruelty and violence.

10) But by the grace (the unmerited favour and blessing) of God, I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing --- fruitless and without effect. In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favour and blessing of God which was with me. 

None is righteous just and truthful and upright and conscientious, no, not one.  

To try to earn our salvation is an insult to God. It is in fact saying Jesus' sacrifice was not enough to pay for our sins.

Many try to earn their salvation by good works. This is in fact an insult to Almighty God who gave up His perfect beloved Son to die for our sins. Can we possibly imagine His feelings as Jesus hung in agony on that cross? As all our sins (past, present and future) were imputed to Jesus? There is nothing anyone can do to make up for that, we can't earn our salvation, we are saved by God's grace alone, God's way. Good works will NOT save us. Yet so many people have been deceived at this point. Their motives may be good, but they have it the wrong way round. Salvation through Jesus Christ must come FIRST. 

Good works are the Fruits of Salvation 

Good works ARE the fruits of salvation, not the means to produce it. Oswald Chambers ... What is the use (profit), my brethren, for anyone to profess to have faith if he has no [good] works [to show for it]? Can [such] faith save [his soul]? James 2:14  Amplified Bible

Genesis is the foundational book of the whole Bible and is often referred to in the New Testament. Without it, the rest of the Bible does not make sense

How sin came in to the world ... The fall of man ...  Why we need Jesus, can be found in the Born-Again website. If you are under the misconception that everything there is; The multiple universes, all life including plant, animal and us, was just a product of designer less chance, i.e. out of nothing came forth everything by it's purposeless self, then:   Evolution?  &  Creation v Evolution  should prove useful. Sin entered in to the world through Adam. The wages of sin is death.

"The world perishes through lack of knowledge." Our hope is that you will clearly understand the need of salvation and accept the Lord Jesus in to your own heart as Saviour & Redeemer. Please take time to read this rather lengthy portion from St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans.

15)   But God's free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass --- His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man. For if many died through one man's falling away --- his lapse, his offence --- much more profusely did God's grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favour of the one Man Jesus Christ, abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many. 16)  Nor is the free gift at all to be compared to the effect of that one [man's] sin. For the sentence [following the trespass] of one [man] brought condemnation, whereas the free gift [following] many transgressions brings justification --- an act of righteousness.

17)  For if, because of one man's trespass (lapse, offence) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God's] overflowing grace (unmerited favour) and the free gift of righteousness (putting them into right standing with Himself) reign as kings in life through the One, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed one.  18)  Well then, as one man's trespass --- one man's false step and falling away --- [led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man's act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God, and life for all men.

19)  For just as by one man's disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous --- made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him. 20)  But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God's unmerited favour) has surpassed it and increased the more and super abounded.

21)  So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, so grace --- His unearned and undeserved favour --- might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, our Lord.

 Can you give a legitimate reason why you would reject God's offer of salvation? God's Grace is greater than all our sins 

Believe (adhere to, trust in, surrender your life in to His keeping) on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved!

St. Paul Referring to; Obedience to the Law

"On the other hand those who rely on obedience to the law are under a curse; for Scripture says, 'A curse is on all who do not persevere in doing everything that is written in the Book of the Law.' It is evident that no one is ever justified before God in terms of law;" ... Galatians 3: 10-12 NEB

American Evangelist D. L. Moody 1837-1899

On the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved

There is no other  way to salvation.

 We love Him because He first loved us!

Those who accept Jesus as their personal saviour are seen as holy and righteous because Jesus is holy and righteous. There is nothing any of us can do to improve or add to this fact.

"Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." Jesus loves you.

Jesus Christ died for us! He paid the price for all who accept Him as their personal Saviour & Lord.

All sin has to be atoned for. A price has to be paid. Jesus, God's Son paid the price for sin, on our behalf. He fulfilled the law's demands in His own person. If we ignore God's offer of salvation made through Jesus, then on our heads be it. We will have no excuse. I'm not just saying this, the Holy Bible states it. 

Jesus Christ Paid the Price for All Our Sins! Past, Present & Future. 

Anything less would be implying that the supreme sacrifice of God's only Son, was not enough to cover them all.

St. Paul; Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law's ordinances, For Us.

"By abolishing in His [own crucified] flesh the enmity [caused by] the Law with its decrees and ordinances - which He annulled;" Ephesians 2:15 Amplfied

Your eternal destiny is at stake, this is not something to be taken lightly.

Perhaps you don't understand a great deal about the necessity of becoming SAVED at this time, but you understand enough to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour. Then, as you learn more through the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, the deeper your relationship with Him will become.
