The profession insists you are tough, streetwise and not afraid to defy convention. We respect that. Rahab's Church will not insult your intelligence with church niceties, reasons why you should conform to society's sometimes "suspect" values, or give you any false illusions.

We will not even ask you to change your ways. Cards on the table, Jesus loves you, He wants you to know Him as your personal Saviour & Lord. We hope you will accept Him in to your heart, for your own sake, not ours. The gift of salvation is free, but if you reject so great a gift, like any other unsaved person, your sins will condemn you for all eternity, the Bible declares it. But it needn't be like that, you can be seen as Pure, Holy & Righteous because Jesus, our advocate is Pure, Holy & Righteous, and He paid the price for our sins.

Although salvation is a free gift available for all to receive, we at Rahab's Church feel there is something particularly special about a red blooded sex worker. Mary Magdalene, generally accepted as a former prostitute, was the first to see the risen Christ. Samson, Hosea, and many other Biblical characters are known to have "KNOWN Prostitutes."

Why should you believe us? 

You are obviously aware there are innumerable scams everywhere these days. Even with some purportedly Christian institutions. At least give the merciful, spotless & sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ, a chance. He so loved you that He died in agony so you can inherit eternal life.

Many Sex Workers Believe in God

Whether it's something to do with the profession, is a mystery. But we know there are many professional sex workers who believe in God. 

I don't want to change my ways. I like what I do and it's financially rewarding.

Some more honest sex workers I have known, have resisted asking Jesus in to their heart because they thought they were too bad to be saved, or they would be expected to change their ways. The Bible tells us there are none righteous, no not one. We all fall short of God's perfect standard irrespective of whether a person is a prostitute, or a priest. That is why we all needed a saviour in the first place. 

God so loves us that He sent His only begotten son Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Gods absolute standard could not be compromised. The perfect sinless Son of God took our sins on himself. He died for them. Our sins are paid for past, present and future. He will not hold them against us. God sees Jesus as having taken our sins, on Himself. We are seen as Holy and Righteous, because Jesus IS Holy and Righteous. God wants you as you are now. You can't earn your salvation, none of us are good enough for that, the price has been paid already. Our debt is cancelled.

I can't emphasize enough, all our sins have already been taken care of at the cross? We can be sure of inheriting eternal life with a clean slate solely by accepting Jesus as Saviour & Lord.

So would I have to give up sex work if I become saved? 

Irrespective of what some people say, and there are many that think they alone are blessed with divine revelation, ultimately this is something you will need to discuss with the Lord Himself. He has said: "Come, let us reason together." Just be completely honest with Him, He will listen to your prayers and He knows the secrets of all our hearts. If He chooses to "move you on," and He never forces you, it will be to your advantage.

For years I lived for gigging, (working the clubs as a musician) it was my life. During an exceptionally good night, I suddenly lost interest in the very thing I lived for. This happened within weeks of "getting saved." See: personal testimony  I don't know what will happen to you, but I do know, there is nothing God can't do if you believe and trust in Him. He loves you and knows what's best for you.

Salvation was purchased at great cost. It is not something to be taken lightly, there is no such thing as cheap grace and sin is sin. We are talking reality here, not relative values. We want you the sex worker especially, to really know Jesus. There are many "play actors" about as you have no doubt experienced. Our salvation, was paid for at the cross. If we don't accept the free gift Jesus offers us, we will die in our sins and face the Judgement of God. Telling you as it is out of my personal experience, and His word.

It's not always easy to trust in God, especially in a largely post Christian, some might say anti God era. There is much that will sidetrack us at every turn. Even when we know God, some of us still rebel and we do not always do what we know to be right. God has given us a great gift, free will. God is there, He still loves us. At present, we are in the age of grace, but Bible prophecy is being fulfilled to the letter. Now is the time for you to get purpose and meaning in to your life. Accept Jesus, as Your Saviour and Lord. You will never regret it. God will take your profession of faith, very seriously. Creation or Evolution?

If it were possible that this universe and everything in it, was just a product of chance in a time plus chance plus change continuum, it follows there could not be an absolute basis for truth. No creator God. No superior intelligence to bring anything in to existence. Pure random chance would be all there is. Prayers would just be meaningless and a delusion. Nothing there to hear them. In fact, anything you do now, have done, or will do, would not ultimately matter to you anyway. Death would be the final end.

The only standard of right or wrong would be our conscience and the consensus of opinion of other mortals. Laws, ultimately, just based on the opinions of some who have gained the position to make their voices heard. With no absolute standard for comparison, or anything apart from pragmatism to check whether the laws are good, or bad. There would not be an inspiration and working by the Holy Spirit to inspire true justice either, He would not exist.

As John Paul Sartre correctly stated: "Unless a finite point has an infinite reference point, it is meaningless." Without God, there is no infinite reference point. We at Rahab's Church do not extol the virtues of Christianity for the sake of society, but because it's true. If it wasn't, "Why bother to march straight forward as if life as a whole makes sense?" 

Whatever you charge your clients, it's not enough in comparison to what Jesus did for you, is it?

Why are we here?

If you believe modern thought that everything came in to existence by itself, matter has always existed, or anyone of the many other theories, carry on as you are. You are in for a great shock, for death is not the end of existence. It is your free choice now what you believe, but it will effect where you spend eternity. Evolution?

What does the Bible actually say concerning prostitutes?

God is no respecter of persons. The Bible states that there are none righteous, no not one. We all fall short of God's perfect standard whether prostitute or priest. Even king Solomon himself fell on account of loose women? Jesus said to the proud and righteous Pharisees of His time? "The prostitutes & tax gatherers shall enter the kingdom of heaven before you." Proud & righteous!!!

To the woman caught in the act of adultery Jesus said, "Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone." Mary Magdalene often referred to as a former prostitute, was the first to see the risen Christ. God actually told Hosea the old Testament prophet: "Go take thee a wife of whoredom and have children of her whoredom for the land has committed great whoredom and departed from the faith." The great man of God, Samson "went to Gaza, and saw there a harlot (prostitute) and went in to her." Judges 16

There is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus. No one can earn their way into heaven, none of us are good enough. The price has been paid already for our eternal salvation. Will you accept this free gift? If you never accept it, you will never receive it. Our salvation was bought at a terrible price:  Not asking you to change your ways. Just to 'Get Saved' and allow Jesus in to your life. What happens then is between you and Him. Be assured, you will never regret it. ... God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes, (trusts, clings to) in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3 : 16 - 17
