Statement of Faith
The whole universe came into being as a result of personal creation by God. He is the Alpha & Omega. The beginning & the end. There were none before Him & can be none after Him.
The Holy Bible is The Word of God, The Holy Trinity Consists of God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit. We are saved by Grace through Faith by personally accepting Jesus Christ as our Saviour & Lord. There is no other way of salvation except through Jesus. We can be seen as Holy and Righteous because Jesus, God's only begotten Son is Holy & Righteous and paid the price for all our sins.
No sin is too big for God to forgive. When we respond to God's offer of salvation by genuinely asking Jesus in to our heart and lives and sincerely desire His forgiveness for our sin's. We are granted salvation. Good works are the fruits of salvation, not the means of producing it.

We believe God's Word the Bible
But we also acknowledge that through the many translations of the Hebrew & Greek, some discrepancies in interpretation have occurred. We suspect, (and in this, we do not know for sure, we are not conspiracy theorists) copyright may have been a factor as with some of the newer versions of old hymn tunes. Same tune, different arrangement. Older bible manuscripts are sometimes found that are nearer to the time the actual events took place both in the old testament (Hebrew) and new testament (Greek). One is always interested in newer translations. Significantly, there is normally little difference found in the text of bonafide scriptural passages.
We are suspicious of some (politically correct) modern translations, and whilst there are many alternatives that are true, in our opinion, not all can be relied on in this day and age.
For in depth study, the Amplified Bible is recommended. Apparently, it is virtually impossible to restrict translation to a word for word format and this bible gives the full shades of meaning that were intended. It is not ideal for use in say reading a lesson.
The New English Bible (NEB) & the Old King James version, (KJV) are also used together with the Thompson chain reference bible. The updated King James, has not yet been purchased.
