A Letter to My Fellow Patriots:
I wanted to share my heart....
We will never forget where we were at 9 a.m. September 11th
2001. I was at a doctor's appoinment for an ear infection. I
stood in the Navy Medical Clinic pharmacy watching the
television screen in horror as a second plane crashed into the
World Trade Center...making it obvious that this was not an
"accident".... I watched with active duty Navy personel...and
I wept.
I was speaking on the phone with my sister-in-law Katie when
the Pentagon was attacked. Our military headquarters had been
attacked, the building formed in the shape of a five-pointed
star like the 50 on our flag...and I wept.
I was listening to the radio when the plane went down in
Pennsylvania, and I immediately knew that it was the result of
heroic Americans not willing to allow the terrorists to use
their plane to kill hundreds more. I wept for them. I wept
for the innocent on all the planes. I wept for those killed in
the buildings attacked.
And as I wept, I prayed...asking God to comfort those who lost
precious loved ones in the attack. I prayed for God to bless
the rescue workers efforts to find survivors. I prayed asking
God to work in the hearts of our countrymen to turn to them to
Him instead of becoming embittered.
I've heard so much about bringing all the religions together
for worship, for prayer...Orthodox Jews, Methodists, Baptists,
Catholics, Buddhists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Hindus, Mormons,
Muslims.... Perhaps that sounds good...but that is not
Scriptural. To whom are we praying? How does one "contact"
God? Are the LORD Jehovah & Alla & Buddha & Joseph Smith's god and all
the other ones people "worship" and "pray to" all the same
person? No. There is only one "Way" according to the verse
John 14:6...
"Jesus saith unto them (His disciples), I
am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the
Father but by me."
Those are not my words, but Jesus Christ's. Here is another
EXCELLENT passage....
I Timothy 2:1-5 -- I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all men that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is ONE GOD, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
I'm not just being "exclusivist". According to the Bible, we
cannot "get to God" any way but through Jesus' sinless blood
washing our sins away. No one will get to Heaven through any
religious affiliation. Not by attending every services every
time the church door is open. Nor can we through lighting
candles or "paying" for our loved ones to be "prayed out of a
place of judgment" by a religious leader. Not through any
prophet or another god. Not through works of any kind. Jesus
Christ, the Father's only begotten Son--GOD THE SON, is the
only One Who saves...plus or minus nothing. If there were any
other way to get to Heaven than through the blood of Jesus, why
did He come? Why did He die? There was no other way. Jesus the
Messiah is THE way!
Why I am being so blunt? Because this is an emergency
situation. If I saw your house on fire, would you want me to
enter the fact into my palm pilot to give you a call later and
see how you fared? Would you want me to come over to your
front door and ring the doorbell? NO, you would want me to
call 911! You would want me to bang on the doors and windows,
making sure you and your loved ones were safe.
I see what is happening. I know from the Bible...the last book
called "Revelation"...what is ahead. And I love people enough
to warn them.
No one wants to think about the "if...then" clauses in the
Bible. The best one for the times right now is II Chronicles
7:14...
"If my people, which are called by my name,
shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their
sin, and will heal their land."
"My people..." that was first spoken to the children of
Israel, who are His chosen people. But the "which are called
by my name..." applies to CHRIST-ians, too, as does ALL of God's Word!! And despite the
sins legalized in our nation, despite the heinous crimes we
have committed against the unborn, despite the abominations
that we have condoned and supported with our laws and our
government funds, America is still considered to be a Christian
nation. But even so, God's people, called by His name, need to
HUMBLE ourselves, pray, seek God's face, and TURN from our
wicked ways before He will hear our prayers, forgive our sin,
and heal our land.
It's up to Christians to share the Truth of His Word, not to
offer false comfort with verses that do not apply to those who
do not know God. It really is like putting a spiritual
"band-aid" on an amputation to just comfort everyone with
"peace, love, & joy" when we know in our hearts that we are
fast approaching such a terrible time in the world's history
that Jesus Himself said there had not been such a terrible time
before nor would there be after. It also occurs to me strongly
that America is not mentioned in prophecy.... Thinking of the
ramifications of that does not make me happy, but I am content
knowing where I and my immediate family will be when we die or
the rapture/resurrection of the church takes place!!! Praise
GOD! But it does make me more aware of my need to WITNESS....
Do you know that you know Jesus as your Saviour? Have
you confessed your sin to Him, asking Him to wash your sins
away with His sinless blood? Would you like to know how...how
to have a peace that passes all understanding?

Pray for those who lost their loved ones in this tragedy.
Pray for those on foreign soil fighting for our freedom.
Pray that any more plots will be discovered in time that no
more innocent lives will be lost.
Pray in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18),
to the Father (Matthew 6:9-13),
in Jesus' name (John 15:13-16),
remembering that our help comes from the LORD....
