The Bible tells me so. Most everyone thinks of Baby New Year when January arrives each year *_* January is also the month our firstborn son arrived several years ago! But this month I want to remember someone else...many tiny someones.... Did you know that January 22nd marks the anniversary of legalized abortions? Yes, Roe vs. Wade's outcome was the legalization of doctor-assisted abortion (as opposed to what is termed "spontaneous abortion", which is miscarriage) in the United States of America. I have a precious sister-in-law and brother-in-law who were born after abortion was legalized. They have blessed our family, and now have had the blessing of adding 3 precious souls to our family! But what if their mothers had made the CHOICE to "terminate their pregnancy"? "Convince a man (or woman) against his (or her) will he's (or she's) of the same opinion still." Something that broke my heart... My precious mother saw the debut of a famous singer years ago...singing "Happy Days are Here Again". Momma thought this lady was so gifted, which she is gifted with remarkable vocal talent. When visiting some family members, we saw that they had a video of said singer, now world-famous. We watched it. She sang that same "happy" song while showing pictures of Roe v. Wade celebrations, Pro-Abortion rallies,.... "Happy Days", Barbra? Happy for whom? Not for the millions of unborn, slaughtered babies. Not for Jehovah God. Not for the women and young girls who die in abortion clinics every year. Not for the women who choose to have abortions and then feel their loss the rest of their lives. That "loss" is their God-given conviction of the sin committed against Him, their own baby, and their own conscience in the act of abortion. No, January 22nd is not a "Happy Day". And I will never sing "Happy Days Are Here Again" if that is what it represents to those who choose abortion. We've had a "right to choose" right or wrong since Eve first took of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. Today, we have a government-ordained "right to choose" life or death for our unborn children. This is not a law that was voted in by our representatives in Congress or the White House. Rather, this was "ordained" by a judge. Abortion is NOT a God-given right, and our nation will be judged for the abortions legalized and committed with political approval. We will be judged by Jehovah God, the DIVINE and RIGHTEOUS Judge. You may say, "I don't believe in God! And I do not recognize a non-entity as having the right to tell me what I should or shouldn't do. It's my body!" Whether you or I acknowledges Him, God does exist. He knows you. He loves you, so much that God the Father gave His Son for you! God the Son loves us so much He gave His life's blood to save us! God is not willing that any should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance! Please, CHOOSE ETERNAL LIFE! There is a window of opportunity. Please, kneel at the cross of Calvary...claim God's plan of salvation and accept Jesus as your Saviour from sin and the condemnation that comes with it, or you will have to kneel before Him as your Judge someday. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve;... but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15 I'm not writing this page in an attempt to convince those who are pro-abortion to change their minds and hearts. I wish I could, but our life-choices are between ourselves and Jehovah God. Just this week (October '06), a young woman I had been praying for chose to have an abortion. I wish with all my heart that--as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew chapter six--God's will had been done! But her will was accomplished instead. She chose.... Again, I do not in creating this page attempt to fight abortion advocates. My heart's desire is to encourage! For those who are pro-life...don't just sit there, DO SOMETHING!!! PRAY! Support National Right to Life! Petition your representatives in the government and let them know your opinion! Counsel those considering abortion with SCRIPTURE...not just our opinion, but GOD'S. July 26th, 2004 My husband heard Rush Limbaugh on the way home today. He was discussing Pro-abortionists' new "sales technique"...they are actually selling t-shirts that read something on the order of, "I had an abortion, and I'm PROUD of it!" Apparently, the "family planning" group puts them out...and had such a negative response that they took them off their site for a while. According to National Right to Life though, they've put the ads for those t-shirts back up.
