Healthy WATER....

Let's remember what we read earlier about the Garden of Eden,
that place in Creation where God placed man--man's first "Home".
AIR/BREATH,
LIGHT,
God-Pleasing FOOD,
WATER,
EXERCISE,
THOUGHT LIFE/GODLY MEDITATION
All the animals, Adam, and Eve, had PURE air, PURE light,
PURE food, PURE water, GOOD exercise, and a PURE thought life.
The perfect, God-made environment.
And a river went out of Eden to water the garden....
Genesis 2:10
The Garden of Eden and the whole Earth had water...perfect, pure,
crystal clear water. Having lived in (and LOVED)
the Blue Ridge Mountains, I can't help but picture the streams
and waterfalls. So there Adam and Eve were, enjoying being a
part of God's perfect creation! And a very vital part of that
perfect creation was WATER. God had divided the waters from the waters
in chapter one, dividing the heavens or atmosphere from the waters
on the earth. And every morning, the ground was watered with dew.
Makes me think of the hymn In the Garden.

I did a word study on "water". Do you know this very necessary
nutrient is mentioned in over 350 verses? From Genesis to Revelation?
And if you include river and stream, there are 850 verses! WOW.
But this proves to me that God knows of the importance of water
to the human body. But then, OF COURSE He does! He made us!
So Adam and Eve have water...pure, clear water to drink from
several times a day. Sadly, we do not have that kind of water
source. Nearly every water source has become contaminated with
man-made pollution. So what's a body to do?

When hurricanes are about to hit, the people scramble for bottled water.
Folks with city water know it will be undrinkable. Folks with
wells use electricity to run the well. Water is so very
essential for cleansing our bodies--inside and out! We
wouldn't want to use a gallon of soda pop or juicy-ade to launder our
clothes, but neither should we expect to cleanse our insides by
drinking things so loaded with caffeine, sugar, and other
artificial ingredients that we are not truly purifying our
cells with our water intake.
The Hallelujah Diet repeatedly discusses "getting down to the
cellular level". If we want to take care of our bodies, we need
to recognize the needs of our bodies on the cellular level. Why
do we have problems with "The Battle of the Bulge"? FAT CELLS!
Let's put it in computer terminology:
It's all
about input. We need to be putting in foods and water that
nourish our bodies, these bodies of clay that God gave us, and
that God's Holy Spirit indwells upon salvation!
Distilling water seems to be one of the best ways to purify,
the process of turning the water to steam and leaving
impurifications behind. I drink distilled water, calling it my
"medicine" *_* I have a mason jar of it right next to me NOW as
a matter of fact!

I found this article very interesting:
"There's a whole lot of water on Earth! Something like
326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons (326 million trillion
gallons) of the stuff can be found on our planet. This water is
in a constant cycle--it evaporates from the ocean, travels
through the air, rains down on the land and then flows back to
the ocean.
"The oceans are huge. About 70 percent of the planet is covered
in ocean, and the average depth of the ocean is several
thousand feet. Ninety-eight percent of the water on the planet
is in the oceans, and therefore is unusable for drinking
because of the salt. About 2 percent of the planet's water is
fresh, but 1.6 percent of the planet's water is locked up in
the polar ice caps and glaciers. Another 0.36 percent is found
underground in aquifers and wells. Only about 0.036 percent of
the planet's total water supply is found in lakes and rivers.
That's still thousands of trillions of gallons, but it's a very
small amount compared to all the water available.
"The rest of the water on the planet is either floating in the
air as clouds and water vapor, or is locked up in plants and
animals (your body is 65 percent water, so if you weigh 100
pounds, 65 pounds of you is water!)."

I did another search, wanting to know what percentage of the human
body was composed of water. I found this post FASCINATING:

Different people have different percentages of their bodies
made up of water. Babies have the most, being born at about
78%. By one year of age, that amount drops to about 65%. In
adult men, about 60% of their bodies are water. However, fat
tissue does not have as much water as lean tissue. In adult
women, fat makes up more of the body than men, so they have
about 55% of their bodies made of water. Fat men also have less
water (as a percentage) than thin men.
So you can see three possible reasons for the discrepancies you
have found:
1) Babies and kids have more water (as a percentage) than adults.
2) Women have less water than men (as a percentage).
3) Fat people have less water than thin people (as a percentage).
Hmmm.... This really says a LOT without my even reiterating,
doesn't it?

"But I just don't like water!" Learn to, my friend. I have
heard this lame argument again and again. What do we tell our little
children when they say this about something on their dinner
plate? IT'S GOOD FOR YOU! But instead of drinking enough water
to keep our bodies running well, so many Americans will
drink a soda, drink a 10% fruit juice substitute (making it 90%
WHAT??), drink fruit flavored water with artificial sweetener....
If your body has to work overtime to purify the water it needs, it
really is not getting the nourishment from it. And where do the
impurities go? In the "filters" in your body: kidneys and liver
mainly. Ever hear of someone who drank alcohol, and a lot of
it? What organ does it effect most adversely? The liver.
Please, THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK!! Then drink water!! *_*

There are many miracles pertaining to water in the Bible! There are miracles of
water effecting only a few, such as the disciple Peter walking on the water
when Jesus bid him come to Him. There is the miracle of water at the wedding
at Cana at the beginning of Messiah's public ministry. And there are enormous
miracles like the world-wide flood of Noah's day and the parting of the Red
Sea for Moses and the children of Israel! But one of the most heart-touching,
water miracles to me is the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well
in John chapter 4....
4 And [Jesus] must needs go through Samaria.
5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to
the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his
journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her,
Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a
Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no
dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou
knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou
wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the
well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and
drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever
drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I
shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him
a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not,
neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband,
and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto
her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he
whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem
is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the
hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem,
worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know
what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father
seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him
must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is
called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee
am he.
27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with
the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with
her?
28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city,
and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this
the Christ?
30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that
ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought
him ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the
will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and
then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the
fields; for they are white already to harvest.
AMEN! Jesus gave the water of life freely! YES, our bodies need physical
water. Jesus was thirsty. Here and on the cross are two times we're told that
Jesus -- Emmanuel - "God with us" -- was thirsty.

HUMAN BODIES NEED WATER
Now, it is important right here to keep in mind that one can
overdo on water. Most of us have heard of the twenty-eight year
old woman who collapsed during the April 2002 Boston Marathon,
dying two days later. Cause of death? Water overdose. She
literally drank herself to death.
[2007: Of all the ignorant things, this took place again because of a contest for video game equipment!
The contestants were required to drink so much water hourly and not use the restroom,
and a woman DIED shortly after trying to win this contest!]
This is a medical condition
known as Water Intoxication or Hyperhydration, in which an
individual's intake of water is excessive. The over abundance
of water literally dilutes plasma sodium, electrolytes, and
other essential vitamins and minerals. Like fatal diarrhea
(cholera, for example), it is possible to literally lose too
much of your body's sodium, slip into a coma, and die. (From an
online article on Water Intoxication).
"But I thought sodium was bad for you?" Yes, TOO MUCH sodium is, but our bodies
need a certain amount of sodium to survive. But "good for you"
things can turn into bad when not used in moderation! That can
be said for every one of the "Healthy YOU" topics.
Too much intake of air/oxygen? Hyperventilate.
Too much exposure to sunlight? Sunburn and/or skin cancer.
Too much intake of food, even biblically "clean" foods? Obesity.
Too much intake of water? Hyperhydration.
So, yes, MODERATION is key! Philippians 4:5 reads, Let your
moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. I
have heard this taught: "all things in moderation". But that
does not mean sin/bad things in moderation! No, that is twisting the
Scriptures like cults do, to make verses say what you want them
to say instead of what God says--the TRUTH. And I truly believe that if
you have the Holy Spirit in you (if you are truly a born-again Christian),
you will not be doing this, or at least not doing it and
getting away with it!
Water is often representative of the Word of God. Look at these verses in Ephesians chapter 5:
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Think of how
applying the Word of God to our hearts will provide spiritual cleansing!
First, applying the Living Word identified for us in John
chapter one as Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. Applying
the Living Word of God to our hearts through salvation! Then
in loving obedience to His commandments, applying the written
Word to our hearts. Psalm 119:9, Wherewithal shall a young
man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy
word..
Just a note before I conclude this study. It is also important
to our body's OUTSIDES to have clean water cleansing. We are so
blessed to have access to regular hand-washing and daily
showers! So much disease is spread by the lack of clean water
and the presence of filth in our water (look at the cholera and
other disease outbreaks following the flooding from Hurricane
Katrina). In Medieval times, epidemics would break out because
of unclean living conditions, resulting in tens of thousands of
deaths. Even simple cleansing practices of health-care
professionals and those handling food, their washing their
hands did not become standard practice until the late 19th
Century! And many times throughout history when people were
dying of these horrific epidemics, those Jews practicing
biblical cleansing practices and laws were virtually
contagion-disease exempt. What am I talking about? The Old
Testament laws teach us to wash our hands. Isolate
disease-carrying individuals, cleanse the house and clothing
where disease has been present. Those are all in the Pentateuch,
the five books of the law given to Moses by God to be a
blessing to His people, the children of Israel. But keeping these laws
became a curse to the Jews when they were disease free and
thousands around them were dying...jealous of the Jews' health.
Interesting.
Again, I am not talking about saving our souls with obedience to the law.
I believe I need to reiterate this FACT. No man ever was, is, or shall be
spiritually saved by adherance to the law. Old Testament saints, early church
Christians, nor Christians today are saved by works of righteousness.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8 & 9
God's Word likewise tells us that all scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof,
correction, and instruction in righteousness. I was saved when I came to the
realization that GOD LOVED ME. Because of this, I have a very special place
in my heart for the verses on love in the Bible. Take a look at these in reference
to obedience:
John 14:15, If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:23, Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him,
and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 15:10, If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide
in his love.
I John 5:2 & 3, By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
So could our loving obedience as Christians to the God of the Bible--Old Testament and New--actually be a testimony
to the world around us? Definitely something to prayerfully ponder...which
we will be doing a lot of pondering on God's Word in the last
study in Healthy YOU...Thought Life/Meditation. *_*
In conclusion, pure water is vitally important for internal and external
cleansing. Pure drinking water and washing with clean water as
well as washing our spirits and minds with THE WORD will bring
cleansing, providing for a healthy YOU!
