WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST

I want to share something with you that I feel is very important. I learned a valuable lesson from the Lord not long ago. There are times in my life that I have felt down and discouraged about not being smart enough. I have felt before that I was inadequate to do God's work, that I was not smart, that I did not know the word of God much less understand it.
Then the Lord gave me these scriptures:
I Corinthians 2:-14-16 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

That has really stuck in my mind. In the natural, ( our flesh) we wont receive the Spiritual things that God as for us. If we are being carnal minded, somethings in the spirit really seem silly or crazy to us. HOWEVER, when we look to the Lord for spiritual knowledge and understanding, then things begin to make sense in the spirit to us.

We need to realize that we do have the mind of Christ.

As we began school the other day (homeschool) my oldest son was really giving me a problem. He is 14 and going through the mouthy faze, but in the name of Jesus he is going to get better!!! As he was mouthing me, , I really "LISTENED" to what he was saying. We were getting ready to do our Bible lessons. He said to me, " mom, I just dont get the Bible, I am too dumb and stupid to understand it. why do I have to learn this, it is hard, we dont need to know the old testament" Over and over he kept saying he was dump, stupid, unlearned, ignorant. Man alive did that hurt me and I am sure it did the Lord too.
I was able to share with him what i feel we all need to get into our spirits

James 3:10 "Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be."

He looked at me strange for a minute as i am sure some of you are too.
Yes, we can either curse our selves or have blessings from God. It is really up to us.
Then I asked him, Brandon, are you a CHRISTian?? He said sure I am. Then I gave him the verse above I Cor 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

If we are a child of the king, it is time that we realize that we are not dumb and ignorant, we do have the mind of Christ.
When we become a Christian, we become like Christ. We are to strive daily to be like Him.
When the enemy tells you that you are stupid and dumb, tell him NO I AM NOT!!! I am a Christian! I have the mind of Christ. You are the stupid one, now get behind me satan in the name of the Lord!!!!
There is a saying, you are what you eat, Well I want to apply that to you spiritually here.
If you constantly hear, your dumb, stupid, no good for nothing, you will never amount to anything, and constant negative things in your life, then what will you be made of?????? That is seed of the devil, God is not the one that tells you that stuff. Satan is.
You need to know that you are loved very much. God is so wonderful in so many ways! God is love. God is smart, God is creative, God is all powerful, and I could go on and on.
You need to get so full of the word of God in your life, that you dont have room for anything else to enter in.
As far as understanding the word, Just ask.

James 1:5-6 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed."

Matthew 7:7-8" Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Satan desires you to keep using the excuse that you dont understand the Bible so that you wont even pick it up and read it. How will you ever have the power and annointing in your life if you dont ever pick up the word of God. Many people say that they want a word from the Lord, well there are many words from the Lord in the Bible. Pick it up today and read it.
Read a few verses a day to start, as you pray ask the Lord for understanding, widom and knowledge that he would want you to have.
David said it plain in Psalms 119:11"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."

To have the mind of Christ, you must first be saved. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
When you get saved, you become a new creature in christ, you are to put off the old things, (sinful life - pleasing to satan) and put on the new things, (glorious life, Christ like, pleasing unto the Lord.)
That is when you receive the mind of christ. So when the enemy comes at you full force ----- know this------

Isaiah 59:19 "...When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.:

James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

One of my favorite verses in the bible,

I John 4:4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."

There is a song that has this verse that goes like this

Greater is He that is in me,
Greater is He that is in me,
Greater is He that is in me,
than he that is in the world

The children usually sing that. But I want you to learn this. A friend was experiencing a battle among some other people. The lord showed her that the devil is only as poweful as we will let him be. That has really stuck with me.
May I ask you a question, " HOW POWEFUL ARE YOU GOING TO LET HIM BE IN YOUR LIFE?
If he can get your mind, he can get your heart. BUT OH ME, IF YOU GIVE YOUR HEART TO JESUS AND LOOK TO HIM FOR ALL KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, SATAN CANT TOUCH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get the word deep within your heart.
We are a blessed people here in the USA. We are allowed to have our Bibles, gospel music, radio and telivision. Can you imagine being in a foreign country not ever having a copy of the word of God? We need to realized what a treasure it is for us to be able to have it in our hands to read it and let it minister to our lives. Get the word in your heart, for one day, you may not have the bible in hand, and need a scripture. It is wonderful to have it in your heart!!!!
Remember, you have the Mind of Christ!!!!!!1

PHILIPPIANS 4:13 " I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME."

Heavenly father, I come to you today in the name of Jesus for all those that have read this study today. Lord you see how the enemy has come against the minds of your children, I bind that attack in your name Lord, I speak deliverance, freedom of the mind, satan, you cannot control a christians mind, we are not yours any longer, you lost that control when we gave our life to Christ. Lord I pray that you fill their minds and hearts with your word lord. Let each one receive a deeper and greater understanding of your word, of what you would have for their lifes. Lord take the blinders off their eyes and help them to desire to read and study your word. Help each and everyone of us to grow in your word daily lord. AS we desire to do your will in our lives. For it is all about you, not us, but you Lord, Show us what you would have us to understand. I give you all the glory and Honor and praise, in Jesus name, Amen.
