How Do You Spend Your Time?Do you spend it wisely?
1 Peter 4:10 "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." I thought on that question as the evening progressed. I like to read my bible, other books, pray, spend time with family , friends doing computer work and visiting. But this one kept popping back. DO I SPEND MY TIME WISELY? Wow! There are days I think I do. Then there are days I am like where did the day go? I feel that God would have us to have some sort of schedule ; yet be flexible enough also. We should start our day off
with prayer and thanksgiving, always to put God first, then your focus
will be much better through the day and you will be able to keep your priorities
straight.
Matthew 6:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Then if you can, pray with
your spouse for God to give you both guidance and direction.
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Have devotions - separate and as a family. THE FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER, STAYS TOGETHER! How are we gonna know what God has for us if we dont read the word? God a question about life? Facing a trial you cant seem to overcome, There is a song that the children sing: The B-I-B-L-E, Yes, that's
the book for me.
We need to realize that the bible is the infallible word of God. God speaks to us through His word. He is calling us back to the basics! So many times we see all that we need to do throughout the day, that we get caught up in it! Take time to breath! Spend good quality time with your children and your spouse. Find things that interest you as a whole family and individually as well. We seem so busy that we are
loosing our communication with our spouses and children. Go to the enemies
camp and take it back.
Sit down with your family and ask them how their day went. What was the most fascinating thing about the day? What has God done for them? What are their likes and dislikes? I hear some of you now, I
work all the time, when i get home, I'm stressed out or tired. Well, if
you dont make time for your family, someone else will.
