Committees

Committees are composed of people from the church body. Anyone who is interested may serve on any committee.

Administrative—Composed of each committee chair, the Administrative Committee oversees general church issues. Meets every second Tuesday of the month.

Christian Education—Oversees the Christian education of all ages (infants, elementary-aged, middle & high school-aged and college-aged and adults) in the congregation through Sunday school, mid-week programs and seminars. Meets every second Tuesday of the month. Kelley Tabor and Lydia Tracy, co-chairs.

Finance—Oversees the budget and general expenditures of the church. Meets every second Tuesday of the month. Roberta Smith, chair.

Mission—Allocates 10% of the church's total income to local, national and international mission efforts. Meets every first Tuesday of the month, off-campus. Please contact the Church Office at (818) 842-5103 for address & directions. Jenny Smith, chair.

Nominating—Prayerfully selects members of the congregation to serve a term on Session and the Deacon boards. Meets as needed. Jane Shanks, chair.

Outreach—Oversees plans for evangelism and outreach while encouraging each member to reach out into the local community to share the good news of the Gospel. Oversees related groups such as Alpha and the Food Committee. Betty Carrington, chair.

Food Committee—Serves the congregation by organizing and preparing all meals held at the church, including the Lord's Kitchen. Meets every second Tuesday of the month. Please contact the Church Office at (818) 842-5103 or Christie Gille for assistance in planning a meal for your event.

Personnel—Oversees all church staff. Meets as needed. Richard Hill, chair.

Property—Maintains both north and south church campuses. Meets every first Tuesday of the month. Steve Raine, chair.

Travis Weaver Children's Center (TWCC)—Oversees our weekly day care, Travis Weaver Children's Center. Meets every first Tuesday of the month. Mike Hammell, chair.

Worship—Oversees our worship services, including weddings & receptions. Meets every first Tuesday of the month. Kathy Bond, chair.
