How God anointed Yahoshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Acts 10:38

  Is Anybody Sick Among You?

Okay, so you or someone you love needs to be made whole.  Don’t get into a panic, and don’t rush.  Let me ask you a question.  Did you know that God has given out directions for what to do when someone gets a sickness? Yeah, it’s all right there in black and white recorded in James 5:13-15.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful?  Let him sing psalms.  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LordAnd the prayer of faith will save the sick, and Yahweh will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Have you followed these directions by calling forth the elders of the church and having them anoint you or your loved one with oil?   Are you going to call the elders?

If you are going to pray for someone else, please note that it’s very important before you pray for someone that has a life threatening disease to find out if they want to be made whole.  If not, you could pray in faith and they still go on to be with Yahweh and you would wonder what happened.

So, first of all if anyone among you is suffering, let them pray.  If he or she is unwilling to pray to be healed, then don’t even bother to go on with the second part.  Wish them a good life, and know that you’ll see them in heaven if they know Yahweh.

You might have to learn or teach faith on this subject, seeing how God said, "He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of Yahweh.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; Yahweh will raise him up.  If he has sinned, he will be forgiven", This what God wrote, look at these verses and see, and ask yourself can God lie?  You might have to repeat this back and forth, to the point where you may seem worn out with the thought or question, until a light bulb dawns on yours or their heart.

This is what I have to do.  I toggle back around the verses that state something that I have not been taught until suddenly, what I am reading comes into my heart and it is more real than what I thought.  Read these verse back and forth, over and over again until a light dawns on you.

Meditate on These Verses Back and Forth

Galatians 3:13-14

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Yahoshua, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

And then I would read

1 Peter 2:24

24who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

Except I would read it with the more personal pronoun, "I am healed".  If "I were", then "I am" now, present tense.

And then I would go back and read

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: ...

then back to:

Yahoshua, himself bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes I am healed.

My Personal Testimony about the Prescription above

Once, I had a headache, and so I went to bed, hoping to sleep it off and to wake up with it gone.  However, I could not fall asleep, and so all I did was "lie" in bed and ache.  Finally, I could stand it no more.  So, I got up and read the above verses, (Galatians 3:13-14; 1 Peter 2:24).  While still feeling pretty rotten, the thought just occurred to me, that I can’t say "I am healed", and say "I am sick" without one of them being a lie.  Yahweh helped me out, and said, "Guess which one is lying".  I replied back, God you can not lie, (Numbers 23:19, Jeremiah 1:12, etc...).  I was silent a moment, before I took it by faith into my heart, and said, "Then if the Bible says that by his stripes that I am healed, then I AM HEALED".  Yahweh said, "Then act like it".  This word of Yahweh corresponded with the word of God.  "Quickeneth" means to bring forth life, and God had just quickened me to act like it.

Romans 4:17

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

I thought, "What would a healed man do?"  I knew there were dishes to be washed.  I still felt just as bad as I did before, but I knew that God could not lie, so I went and started washing the dishes.  Before 10 minutes or so, I realized that I no longer had a headache.

So, I would lay some rubber on the tracks by rotating around some verses until I got it in my heart, and then proclaim it out my mouth.   This is the faith way.  Someone with the gift of healing might do it a different way, (like having hands on them and suddenly they are healed).  Add another verse, (Deuteronomy 28:61) for more faith to arise.

First you should know that Deuteronomy 28:61 is a continuation from Deuteronomy 28:15; where the curses are outlaid for us to read.  So, Deuteronomy 28:61 correlates with Galatians 3:13-14, so that the light will dawn on you, (the Holy Spirit will illuminate your mind and the darkness), helping us to grasp what Galatians 3:13-14 is talking about.  You have to explain that Deuteronomy 28 outlays all the blessings, and all the curses.  And that sickness is under the curses portion of this passage.

Deuteronomy 28:61

Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will Yahweh bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Call for the Oil

I used to also correlate another verse with James 5:16, so that I could convince my heart that I was righteous, as I already knew that I was a man, and that was:

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

James 5

13Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].
14Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in Yahweh’s name.
15And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and Yahweh will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
16Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
17Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.
18And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual].

Print out these verses below, and rotate around them over and over and over, not trying to get God to do something, for God has already done something around 2000 years ago, but to persuade your heart that what God has done is more truth than what you see, (walk by faith, not by sight).

2 Corinthians 5:6-8

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from Yahweh:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with Yahweh.

And along that line, you might also need this passage.

2 Corinthians 4:18

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

As we get these passages into our hearts, we may be able to drop them from our repertoire because we know this part by rote, but at first the list is long.  You might want to do this for yourself, or suggest to the person wanting healing to go the Bible Gateway, (http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?), and enter in the following verses, or copy the link below and Email it to them or send this web site’s URL address.

Deuteronomy 28:61, Numbers 23:19, Jeremiah 1:12, 2 Corinthians 4:18, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Galatians 3:13-14, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 John 1:9, James 5:13-21

Then take nine passages, and wait to call upon God when you have faith in your heart, (even if that is not tomorrow morning), and to act upon James 5.  You should be so full of Yahweh’s grace that you are just ready to say "So be it" when James 5 is done.

The Bill is Paid

The that scripture that says, "He bore our sickness and carried our diseases" totally changed my outlook on healing.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

At the time that scripture was written it was a prophecy that Yahoshua would fulfill.  However, now, that’s not a promise that we are by faith to grab hold of.  Yahoshua fulfilled this as a promise, before his death when he went to Peter’s Mother-in-Laws house and touched her hand, and the fever departed her, {noticed it does not say "her fever" departed from her, (Matthew 8:14-17), but "the fever" departed from her}.  And she got up and ministered unto them. She probably fixed, (southern word) supper, (another southern word) for them, or brought them out some snacks.

Later on that same day, folks brought their sick to Yahoshua, (maybe Peter’s Mom was telling everyone about how she had a fever and it departed when Yahoshua touched her hand).  And the Word of God says that "When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick"

Notice again the connection between "cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick". The same exact way of viewing sickness as coming from the devil is said again in Acts 10:38, "How God anointed Yahoshua of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him".

...went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil"

This connection is shown a 3rd time in Luke 13:10-17, "And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?" She had a "Spirit of Infirmity"... that should be a clue that God doesn’t have any "Spirits of Infirmity" in his league of angels.

So, when the scripture, (and God can not lie, and the Word of God can not lie) says in 1 Peter 2:24... "He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed." (Amplified Bible)

That is not a promise.  Surprise~!  This is a fact, an account of a finished and completed piece of history.

Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life—a ransom for many, {Mark 10:45}.  There was an exchange made~!

We are not the sick trying to get healed.  But we are the healed, and the devil has been trying to make us sick.  We have already been healed by His Stripes.  The healing has already been done, (by his stripes you were healed ~ past tense).  Now, all I have to do is take the Word of God by Faith, put it in my ears and my eyes enough where it gets down in my heart and I believe it.  And then I have to say it, and say it, and not say anything else~!

I went out to eat once at a restaurant and this pastor saw me and my wife and said he’d pay for our meal. He took my ticket and paid for it. Now, would I really be wise if I went up to the cashier and said, I want to pay for our dinner.  The cashier would look at me like I'm crazy.  The Bill has been paid.

On top, a once a friend said that he would loan me $1000.00 and I paid back $100.00, but then he said he was just going to forgive that debt.  I see him often at church.  It would be hard for me to look at him, if I felt that I still owed this debt.  Yahoshua went to the cross and purchased your salvation, (which comes from the Greek word Soteria ~ The word is used of deliverance from enemies and adverse circumstances as well as deliverance from spiritual death and eternal condemnation. By His Stripes you were healed.

The Bill Has been Paid.  By His Stripes, we are Already Healed.  Are you so special that Yahweh’s word will not work for you, and you’re going up to God to heal you?  Like going up to the cashier and begging them to let you pay the bill.  Like you’re doing everything right and Yahweh’s not paying attention.  Healing belongs to us.

Our part is to believe and receive.

Probably, you’re wanting one thing, but saying another with your mouth.  (ie.. I don’t know why God hasn’t healed me).

The facts say one thing, BUT the TRUTH of THE WORD OF GOD SAYS ANOTHER...
It is not information that will bring transformation... but it is the Truth that will make you free, (John 8:32).  Facts say one thing, Faith says another and Faith Comes from Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God, (Romans 10:17).  Now whose report are you going to believe?, (Psalm 112:7).

Your health is the result of these three voices crying out.

  1. There’s your body and you can feel it crying out...Well, there’s also the devil acting as a lobbyist, trying to get you to agree with your body, and we are instructed to "Cast down all thoughts that exalt itself above the Knowledge of God and to take all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ", (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
  2. Then there’s the Word of God saying that "By His stripes, you were healed".
  3. And then’s there’s your voice.  In fact, you are the only voice that can cast a swing vote.  You’re actually the judge in this scenario.  The Word of God remains forever, and God changes not.  Whichever side you agree with will win, two to one.   If you asked your body if it was healed, it may say, "NO".  But, we’re not asking our body.  We’re asking by Faith the Word of the Living God. that says that "By His stripes, you were healed".  I was healed almost 2000 years ago.

Psalm 103:2-3...
Bless Yahweh, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases

You wouldn’t try to pay a dinner bill that’s already been paid. You know that your sins are forgiven, but we think somehow we’ve got to convince God to heal. We know that God heals. It just trying to figure out how to get him to do it that’s the problem. However, we’ve got wrong thinking. He’s already done it. The bill has been paid.  Healing is part of the Covenant that Yahoshua paid for.  It’s part of the exchange that Yahoshua made for us.

We believe and receive.  Here below is how faith operates.

So Yahoshua answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you desire, {ask, beg, crave for} when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Mark 11:22-25
