Have you ever been haunted by thoughts like these: What am I here for .. What pupose is there for my life .. Who am I? Are you getting your self-worth from the ways of the world or how people respond or do not respond to you? Are you searching, seeking to feel loved, accepted, and important? This very moment you may be wondering if your life does have purpose.

Precious sister in Jesus, if you are in this battle of thoughts, know that your life does have a purpose. According to God's own words, you have been created (spiritually) in Christ Jesus for good works. Allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse you of all untrue thoughts and know for sure that there is a purpose for your life. [Precious ones who are living without Jesus and going your own way, God desires you to know that He has a purpose and a plan for your life too. God desires that you come to Jesus for salvation and that you know His perfect plan for your life.]

"For we are his workmanship"
Meditate on these words. Let them seep deeply into your soul. Praise God we are His workmanship!

In mercy and with tender love God reaches down to the lost and dying sinner and saves him/her. In His pure and holy love, God graciously grants mercy (grace) to lost and undone souls, placing them in Jesus.

O saving grace
wonderful and free
satuating the soul
God's tender mercy-
to sinners such as me.

Saving grace is a free gift from a gracious God and is totally underserved (Ephesians 2:8-9). A child of God has been born (spiritually) by the will of God (John 1:12). Those in Jesus are definitely brought into Him by the hand of God! God places the soul in Jesus. Each person is saved by His power, by His might, and by His grace. It is by no other way for God tells us that "we are his workmanship."

"created in Christ Jesus unto good works"
With great love, God did good to us. He created us brand new in Christ Jesus. In Luke 2:14, God's angels declare His love: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." God's love is shown and experienced in Jesus, and our new spiritual creation is purchased in the blood of Jesus and by the power of God.

Corinthians 2:17 tells us that in Jesus, we have been made brand new. We are to put on the new person and do the works of holiness that God has chosen for us to do. We are saved to do good works - works of purity. We are saved to show mankind the good and perfect heart of God. God's children have been created in Christ Jesus to the glory of the Father. We are saved to bring the comforts and joys of Jesus to this world. Oh let us never doubt our purpose in life for it is a holy purpose - a divine purpose!

"which God has ordained that we should walk in them"
Rejoice children of God and get busy fulfilling the holy purposes to which you were called and "created in Christ Jesus" to do. You may not have wealth or great social standing. You may feel that you can not do much for the Lord. But, the truth is you have been ordained by Almighty God and created in Jesus to do good works. There is purpose for you and God has given you His Holy Spirit to bring His purposes about in your life.

God puts souls in Christ and causes the person to do works of goodness and holiness. Holiness involves all the fruits of the Spirit. A Christian follows the Holy Spirit and He leads us to all that is holy. He produces His own works and the life of Christ within us that we may bring love to this hurting world .. be peacemakers .. be joyful and bring Christ's joy to the world .. be meek and gentle with all .. be longsuffering and patient that all would know Jesus . . to work the works of goodness and faith. How awesome are these works - divine purposes.

Salvation is the work of God's own hand!

Praise and Thanksgiving
Glorious are the works of Thy hand O Lord. You called me from sin's grasp and eternal death. You predetermined that I should live a holy and pure life before You that others will see Your goodness and love and that You will be glorified.
