It was a
warm, sunny day when I
arose and praised
God for another
beautiful day. My window
was open and I could
smell the beautiful red
roses that were planted
outside my window. I
looked out my window and
thanked God for the
beautiful nature that He
provided for us.
Then I lifted my eyes
toward heaven. I dreamed
of the goodness and glory
there. For a
moment, I glimpsed the
brightness of the Sun of
Righteousness. The
unspoken glory of God
resounded through my
heart. I searched
the clouds to see the
beauty they beheld, and
my eyes moved across
infinity as there was no
end to this glorious
sight. The sun was
shining brightly as
warm rays of
hope and love encamped my
soul.
As I gazed at the beauty
He had created, I
wondered how He could
stand to look upon, my
sinful soul. I fell to my
knees in thankfulness,
for His grace and
forgiveness, for the
mercy that was shown to
me, by a gracious father.
I praised Him
with all my heart.
I lifted my hands to Him
and praised HIM
with all my soul.
The glorious sun rays
shone upon my face as I
continued praising Him
and lifting up my day to
our loving Father. I
prayed with all my heart
and closed with an
Amen. I got
dressed and went
downstairs and proceeded
to make my breakfast. As
I was making breakfast, I
thanked our Father for
the wonderful food.
While I was driving to work,
I took the
opportunity to
thank God for the
blessings of my car, a
good job, a safe place to
live, and family and
friends, who love me.
I thanked Him for
His protection, for the
peace that He has flooded
into my soul, and for His
mercies, which are new
each day.
I asked
God to make me shine as
brightly as the sun in my
workplace so that others
may see Him in me and be
drawn to Him. I
asked Him to guide me
through all of my
activities at work, and
to just let anything that
may bring me trouble
during the day be used to
His glory and not cause
me to stumble or get
stressed. I placed
my day into His hands.
I never did mind the long drive
into the city. It was just me
and God, and I would always enjoy
my time with Him with no distractions.
But today was different...
I was driving over a three lane bridge
at about 65 miles per hour and through
my peripheral vision, I saw a car drive
up alongside of me. As I casually glance
at the driver, it appears that he is
motioning something to get my attention.
With an urgent look on his face, he begins
pointing straight ahead to something on the road.
This made me nervous, but as I looked forward again,
I noticed that there was a car ahead which was
stalled in the lane I was in. Whoa! I did not even
see that!
When I looked to my left again to motion a "thanks"
to him, he wasn't there anymore. I looked through
my mirrors and saw no one. I looked to my right and
then quickly turned my head to look behind me, but
there was not one car in sight. Was I going nuts??
I knew then that God had sent one of His angels to
protect me. I was so thankful that God loves me and
cares about me enough to protect me from all harm.
As I arrived at work, there was no parking spaces
left to park in. Oh no, I said, Lord help me because
I have to be in the office in five minutes and I do
not have a place to park. I circled around the parking
lot. Oh my, what will I do?
As I lifted my prayer up to our loving Father and came down
another isle, a parking space became available. I thanked
and praised Him with all my heart. I hurried into the office
building, went up the elevator and went to my desk. Before I
started my day, I prayed for His guidance in every way. While
sitting at my desk, a friend came up to me and asked for prayers.
Christina has worked here for a long time and she knew that I was
a prayer warrior and believed in God. As she approached me, she was
shaking and tears fell upon her cheeks. Please pray with me!!
I know that your prayers will be heard.
I told her that her prayers are heard as well, if you just believe.
I asked her what was wrong. With a trembling voice, she told me about
her child, Angelica. They just found out that she had leukemia.
The Doctors are doing so many tests on her. She had not been eating
well and was sick a lot. Angelica was so tired all of the time.
I don't know what to do or how to make her better, Christina said.
I told her to kneel and pray with me. We prayed that God be with
Angelica as she goes through this. We prayed that God would have his
hands on everything that was taking place and to heal Angelica and make her
better. We prayed for about 15 minutes for God's will to be done.
Just before we finished with our prayer, in walked our Boss man.
