Statement of Faith
Our statement of faith is based on the Word of God. Jesus is our Lord and redemption is through His Blood by faith in Christ alone and not by good works or by any other means. The Bible is the Word of God and God's message to fallen man. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead (trinity) and is the promise of the Father. There is a real hell and a real heaven. There is a day of judgement for sinners and for believers to receive their rewards.

This Society shall accept the Holy Scriptures as the revealed Will of God, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts the following statement of fundamental truths:

Ministry Beliefs

1. We believe in the existence of the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity and in His interaction with man. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as manifested by the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.

2. We believe in the Scriptures as the inspired Word of God and that it is the complete revelation of God's will for all mankind.

3. We believe that every man is the steward of his life and resources which ultimately belong to God. We believe Malachi 3:10-12.

4. We believe in the worship of the Lord through singing, clapping and the lifting of hands and dancing. As told in the Scriptures, that is, Psalm 149:1-9: "Let them praise His name with dancing." We believe in the authority of the believer to ask freely of the Lord for his needs.

5. We believe that evangelism is the obligation of every follower of Jesus Christ. The Lord commands us to go out and make disciples of all the Earth.

6. We believe in water baptism by immersion in obedience to the Word of God. All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour should be baptized in water as a public profession of their faith in Christ. This is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life and the Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus and only believers should share it.

7. The Bible, the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men.

8. There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

9. Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Father, He intercedes for us with the Father God.

10. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus, to convict men of sin, indwell in us, guide us, instruct us, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

11. Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through the Holy Spirit can man be saved and obtain spiritual life.

12. The shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection provide the only way for salvation for all who believe, and only such who receive Jesus by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.

13. The personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus is our hope and has a vital bearing on the life and service of the believer.

14. There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; the believer to everlasting eternity with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgement and an eternity of conscious punishment.

The Trinity

1. We believe in one God who is eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation, being both Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that He is Sovereign and Absolute in His authority.

2. We believe in the Father who is God Himself, Creator of the universe (Gen 1:1; John 1:1)

3. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (Col 2:9) He suffered, died, was buried, and rose from the dead for our salvation (Luke 3:21-22; Philippians 2:5-11). We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (John 3:36; John 3:31-32; John 14:6).

4. We believe in the Holy Spirit who is God. This Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth (John 14:17, 14:26).

5. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ atones for our sins and iniquity. It is through His shed blood that we are saved, healed and set free from bondage and the forces of darkness (Romans 5:9-11; Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 12:11).

6. We believe that every believer must have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, for apart from Him we can do nothing. We are to instruct, teach, exhort and admonish believers in the ways of God (John 15:1-5; Hebrews 13:5-6).

7. We believe that the Bible is the true infallible Word of God, which cleanses our souls. It holds the words of eternal life. The Bible shows us God's principles and standards for living; and it is the food that sustains us in all circumstances (John 1:14; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 John 2:5-6).

8. We believe that we are to wash and renew our minds daily by spending time in the Word of God. We are conformed to the Kingdom of God by the molding and shaping of His Hands (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23-29; Philippians 4:8).

9. We believe that in everything we must have faith and patience.

10. We believe in worshipping the Lord in spirit, song and dance and with the raising of our hands. We believe that we are to praise and worship Him with our whole being (Psalm 150:1-6; John 4:24).

11. We believe that believers should be water baptized by immersion. It is through baptism that we publicly identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38).

12. We believe that all Christians need to partake of the communion which represents the Lord Jesus' body and blood. It is by participating in the Lord's Supper that we proclaim His death until His return (John 6:53-58); 1 Corinthians 11:23-30).

13. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues. We believe that Christians must be filled daily by using our prayer language, but the evidence of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence is a changed life (Acts 2:4; Ephesians 5:18-21).
