Matthew 17:20.. If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain , Remove hence to yonder place and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

By His Stripes We Were Healed

1Peter 2:24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.

That promise is for salvation and healing of the body, mind.  He covers it all. Even forgiveness took place at the cross. When  Jesus said Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

Just to help you understand something of my state of mind before I tell you how my son was healed; I must first tell you that we have two sons  that are home with Jesus. Billy our first born went to be with Jesus when he was six months old and Matthew our fourth was still born.

Now I would like to tell you about how God healed our oldest living son. When he was six years old, Mark became very ill and when we took him to the doctor we were told one lung was collapsed and the other was partially collapsed. He was admitted to the hospital and after a week of treatment was no better. They wanted to puncture his lung and drain it. I said no! I asked to see a specialist. When the specialist arrived he examined all of the x-rays and then examined my son. He then talked to me. He said,"I do not want this child to have any more x-rays and I want to dismiss him from the hospital." He said," your son is not getting any better under this treatment and he is not any worse. I want  you to take him home and give him this new medicine and I want both of you to get some rest." He told me that blowing balloons would benefit Mark as much as the breathing treatments they were giving him. The doctor said he did not want to see Mark for two weeks unless there was a change in his condition and then I should immediately call him.

I was so relieved to be at home with Mark. I had not slept much for a week and so I was exhausted.  I put him on the hide-a-bed in the living room and I layed down beside him and slept with my hand on his chest so that I could feel him breathing. We both got a lot more rest at home.  I followed the doctors instructions and I also spent much time in prayer and reading the Bible to the children. Mark's brothers and I were so happy to have Mark at home.

On the seventh day we were home Mark began to choke and gag and spit up a long stream of bloody mucous. I held a bucket for him and when that stream of bloody mucous hit the bucket it formed back into a large hard ball. I was so frightened! I saved the specimen and called my regular doctor. He told me to bring the specimen and Mark in. When we arrived they x-rayed Mark and then told me to take him to the specialist who was waiting to see him.  I was given the x-ray and the specimen bottle and left for the specialists office. When I arrived they immediately ushered us into an examining room.  Soon the doctor came in and said "tell me exactly what you did." That frightened me even more. I told him the story  of how I followed his directions and gave Mark the medicine, had him blow balloons and that I also read the Bible to the children and we prayed for Mark.

The doctor began to smile and in that instant I knew for certain  he was a Christian.    He said, "When I sent you home with Mark I thought I would have to operate on him and I did not know what I would find."   He said, "I knew you had not had any rest for a week and I wanted you to be rested so that you could face whatever was ahead."  By this time I am sure my eyes were as big as saucers.  Then he said, "I didn't mean to frighten you. Don't worry! Mark is healed! His lungs are completely restored and there is no sign of scar tissue, which is a miracle!"   Well needless to say I just praised the Lord. The doctor proceeded to show me the x-rays and explain that with that much lung involvement and no scarring it was a miracle!!!

I was so overjoyed I could not contain myself.  All I could do was say, "Praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!!"

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I was not attending a church that believed in or taught about healing.  I just prayed. Our heavenly Father provided for healing in His Word and  He does hear and answer prayer. Praise His Name now and forever more. It is not because of our great faith.   It is because of His Great Love!

After that I began to attend a full gospel church to learn more about healing. It was then that I received healing into my own body but that is another story of answered prayer.   Know this God is not a respecter of persons what He did for us He will do for you.  Jesus is  the same yesterday, today, and forever.
