The following is a letter to our Lord that my wife wrote in thanksgiving to Him for all He has done in her life. She stuck it in her Bible because she didn't know where to mail it to. :-) I told her I was going to post it. She's kind of nervous, but gave me permission any way! Here it goes:

Dear Lord:

Here am I, Lord. I’m here thinking about You. I just wanted to thank You for protecting me, and being there for me when I was feeling down and hurting. I wanted to die. I didn’t want to live anymore. Thank You for taking the pain and all the bad things away from me.

I love You more than anything in this world. I also want to thank You for giving me that strange feeling I got when my sister Betsy wanted me to take care of my niece to go to her man’s house. I can’t explain that feeling, Lord. But I got that
feeling something bad was going to happen. I told her not to go. She was mad with me at the time. She even called me a name. But that’s all right, Lord. Because You warned her through me. You saved her life, because her man was shot dead that day. She came to me later and she told me about it. She said: “I don’t know what you have, but you saved my life!” Lord, You do things in a way we can’t understand, but thank You.

I also would like to thank You, God, for my family. First for my first-born, Anthony. I remember being pregnant and I said to myself when I was in labor that I wouldn’t call on You. But I guess You had other plans. I remember the doctor telling my husband: “Joe, we’re losing them both!” I called on You to help
me once again, Lord, and You were faithful. You saved us both, my dear Lord! If I hurt You, please forgive me.

You gave me three beautiful sons. Thank You for delivering my husband out of that coma, Father. I know I wasn’t a good wife to him towards the end, God. I treated him very bad. I wanted him to hurt the same way he hurt me when he shredded our wedding vows to pieces, and was unfaithful to me. But thanks to You, I’ve been able to put that behind us now. Now that I have forgiven him, my pain has also gone away.

Thank You so much, Lord. I love You immensely, my dear, Almighty God. Thank You for coming into my husband’s life, for revealing Yourself to him, for the unbelievable change You have caused in him. He is a totally different person now, Lord. All because of You. No one could have changed him, Father. Only You, God. Thank You for allowing me to fall in love with him once again, for answering all my prayers, including healing my mother from her stage 4 cancer. I love You dearly, Lord. With all my heart. I can NEVER thank You enough!
