Autumn
Leaves
The colors of the leaves
Yellow, red, brown on the
trees.
One by one they fall
To rest on the earthen soil.
The yellow one may tumble
As the leaves all tremble.
When you walk they rustle
As quickly you hustle.
The crisp breezes now blow
While the leaves fall slow.
They amaze my sight
In the early morning light.
I can't help but realize
God has given them as a
prize.
Their beauty seems to rest
The leaves catch our
interest.
Falling, falling to the
ground
By the river or down town.
Like a carpet under foot
Over by the tree's root.
They float on the wind
As the Summer comes to an
end.
It's now the Fall of the
year
When the trees shed their
wear.
We need never forget this
treat
Because each year it will
repeat!
