Believers We all have a set of beliefs, And many times it brings others grief. God to some is just a myth ~ To others He is a treasured gift. Still they believe in the laws of man, But God they don't understand. Another will trust with all his might ~ In the Everlasting Light. Believers of all kinds ~ Think of God with their minds. Some think God gives visions, And that causes divisions. They think the Bible is old fashion ~ Others believe it is true with a passion. Some think they have seen angels, And don't believe in the triangle. There are those who immerse ~ The others just think it is a curse. The priest wears long robes ~ A pastor wears plain clothes. Some permit gross sin ~ While others discipline. Some allow blue jeans ~ While there are other extremes. It appears anything goes ~ With some of those. However the most important thing ~ What is happening? They seem to have lost the way ~ These believers of our day. All tangled up in the fringe ~ They are all on some kind of binge. Love, honesty, holiness, and faithfulness ~ Seem to be in distress. Just like little girls and boys ~ playing with the world's toys. The truth is put on hold ~ With no glue to fix the mold. It seems to be such a motley crew ~ You wonder what God can do. The answers are not found ~ Without your face to the ground. There is no unity in such division ~ Only God can make this provision. He alone can heal and restore ~ This unending building chore. Framing the Body into one ~ With the head, God's Son. Impossible to change the heart of man, But God certainly can!
