A bitter word to so many ~

They fight against it plenty.

They think of their right to chose ~

This is something they don't want to lose.

It seems to be uttermost in their minds

Their own way they want to find.

Man wants to be in control ~

Of his very own soul.

They fight against God all day ~

To have things their own way.

It is a cold war on the Word ~

They seem to have never heard.

The Word allows God to chose

Without Him man will lose.

Man will forever be lost

Without Jesus paying the cost.

How could man dare claim

Salvation in his own name?

The Calvinist puts his trust in God ~

To rule in heaven and earthen sod.

Their security is in God's hands,

And not in any of man's plans.

Salvation is a gift from God to man ~

By grace and mercy he understands.

The Calvinist gives God the credit ~

For his account being a debit.

He knows we are but filthy rags ~

So why do so many sit and brag?

The Word of God has no error,

And hell is truly a terror.

Not one Word will fade away ~

Jesus is coming again some day!
