"When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child."
(1 Corinthians 13:11 NKJV)

Like A Child
Like a little child at play
I really like to get my way.
The toys are not the same
That I now use in this game.
No longer do I run to mom
Because she is not at home.
When things do not go right
I no longer pick a fight.
I am not six years old today
That age is very far away.
Still I like to feel I have done my best
When my heart beats in my chest.
I feel that I need to cry,
But often I don't know why.
Even though I am grown
There is a lot yet to be known.
Please don't spank me anymore
I will do all of my chores.
Lord, please come and ease the pain
Cause my heart to smile again.
I am your child it is true,
And O' Lord You know I love You!
