The Fourth of July

Independence Day they say

As the flag bravely waves.

The firecrackers shoot in the air

Reminding us of that awful affair.

The rockets red flair lights the sky

In the night we know the reason why.

It is for liberty that so many died,

And for these we have often cried.

Brave men and women of this land

Have chosen to make freedoms stand.

We express this day in many ways

There is a price that many pays.

Who would choose chains instead?

And those dictators over their heads.

Who would want oppressive views?

Would we be happy with that news?

I think that men would choose to be free

In the USA from sea to shining sea.

Where we can still have a voice,

And God made us His choice.

Give your thanks to Him my friend,

Or else the enemies will certainly win.

Remember the Fourth of July

Don't forget the enemy has a spy.

Freedom means we must fight,

Or else we will lose the right!
