God's Word We seek to find a safe place, And a smiling face. A soft pew in the church, And be welcomed so much. We like things to go our way ~ We seek answers when we pray. Peace is always so neat, It is so very, very sweet. So we follow the person with that voice ~ We make his message our choice. Never aware it could be a trap ~ That has fallen in our lap. Jesus would call people devils ~ It didn't matter on what level. He would tell them of their sin ~ That didn't make him popular with men. He told them things too hard for them ~ They simply didn't believe in Him. Today they will tell you anything and pull all kind of strings...... Just to get you to accept Christ ~ They will even tell you lies. The fact is That faith is God's gift ~ We can't accomplish it.....get my drift? God must reach down to man, Or he will never understand. We can't convince God to change His mind ~ He saves the believers every time. We must repent and turn from sin, But it was God that put the Holy Spirit within. No amount of walking an aisle can awaken you ~ Trust only what God can do. Salvation comes from God to man ~ Not man to God.... understand? One thing will never pass away ~ It is God's Word He sent our way. The tangles are in Satan's deception, And the evil plan is his expectation. Step beyond the hope of a soft seat, And listen to God's heart beat. He has created us to Worship Him ~ Not to go straying on a whim. To God we are to bring glory ~ That is the facts of the story!
