Woman A gift from God to man Is the female woman. But wait just a while Does Adam smile? This seemed to be his downfall, And caused him to till the soil. She wanted to be like God, But that brought a curse on the sod. She believed the lie Satan made So Adam sharpened the blade To cut the weeds in the way That grew on the land that day. Woman helpmate to man, But she had another plan. She thought God left her out So she began to doubt. The tree in the garden looked so good, And it was made with food. She tasted the fruit with joy Forbidden was this little ploy. Still today woman wants to rule She is still the same old fool. She gave Adam a little bite, And that started the fight. No use to hide behind fig leaves God could still see Adam's knees. He thought if he could just hide God could not see deep inside. The wonderful woman Adam's wife Was the one with so much pride. So we women need to take God's hint, And with our man's rule be content! Poem written by: Lena Ayer Kittrell Background design by: Lena Ayer Kittrell Midi "I Believe" by: Norma Stephenson
