I am but just a little girl
With footprints that are small.
But when I'm at the ocean
I know I'm standing tall.
Whenever I make castles
Or find treasures in the sand
I feel so very special
With the whole world in my hands.
As I watch the sea gulls
That fly without a care
I believe that I have wings
That will take me anywhere.
When I'm playing by the surf
That sound is all I hear.
Like Jesus is telling me secrets
As He whispers in my ear.
Sometimes I just lay right down
To watch fluffy clouds go by.
I dream that I'm an angel
And see Heaven in the sky.
Just like the tide keeps coming in
Over and over again.
I'll come back to the beach I love
To make footprints in the sand.
