I was in Singapore visiting my daughter and her husband who live there. After over a week I realized I had overspent on shopping. On the day I wanted to leave I realized I had already spent the fare back to Malaysia. I did not want to ask my daughter as she had
already given me some money earlier. However, she did ask me again on the day I was leaving if I had enough money. Since the fare was S$26, she gave me S$30.
I had earlier promised my friend I would buy two packet of almonds. Now I did not have the money. I had only enough to buy the ticket home. It did not feel right to ask my daughter for the almonds too and I could not withdraw additional money because my bank was in Malaysia, my home country. So I asked the Lord. "Please Lord, help me out to buy the almonds for my friend. I don't know how you are going to do it, but I know you can do it."
I went to the train station to buy my train ticket. When he gave me the ticket I handed him the S$30, knowing the ticket was S$26 as I had purchased it before many times. The man returned S$10 saying the ticket cost only S$13. I was shocked and asked him again and again whether it was indeed S$13. He got irritated and said don't you understand English and Malay (our national language). I was wondering if he booked me on the express train or the ordinary train. He said it was the express train. So I paid the S$13
for the ticket and walked off in a daze. I took the bus home, but did not realize it would pass the area with all the Indian stores which sold the almonds I wanted. Suddenly I realized I had the money to buy the almonds because the train ticket did not cost as much
as I thought it did. So I left for home that day with the two packets of almond I needed because once again God worked a miracle.
Lately I visited my daughter again. When it was time to return I bought the train ticket again. This time the train ticket was S$26. I just quietly paid the price. This confirmed the previous incident was a miracle.
