One Single Seed

One single seed falls to the ground-
It swallows it in death.
But from that death new life is born
And all the earth is blessed.

This was God's plan when time began
It's always been that way.
The sacrifice of just one seed
Is a miracle every day.

The Savior sweet and so divine
Became that seed for us.
He gave His life for us to live
That day upon the cross.

His body sealed inside a tomb
He died to rise again.
To give new life if we believe
And only trust in Him.

Oh, that precious Single Seed
Whose form was bent and bruised,
When coming forth, alive again,
His glory was renewed.

Now every time that Precious Seed
Is planted in a heart
It springs up reaching for the Light
Dispelling all that's dark.

That heart will never be the same,
All things will be made new.
That Single Seed
Dropped down from Heaven
And gave His life for you.
