The following is the Official
Statement of Faith for the OSSG-WLSChristian Ministry.
You are welcome to have a
different view on some of these beliefs ~ That is between you and God.
BUT these views are NOT to be argued on the OSSG-WLSChristian List.
Any such arguments will be silenced by me, as the owner and moderator
of the list.
I have faith that as Adults,
we can discuss things nicely, and in Love and Grace...anything else is
unbecoming. This list is for upholding and support..not for accusations,
condemnation, or un-Christlike behavior.
Please read this Statement...and
pray for God to lead you to your own Statement of Faith..
1. God
God is all knowing, all seeing,
always was, forever is, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Creator of Man
in His image. Father of Jesus Christ. Eternal Father and eventual
Judge. One God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and the
Holy Spirit.
2. Jesus Christ
Jesus is the One and Only
Son of God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born of a Virgin.
Fulfilling prophecy. Was crucified for the remission of our sins.
Was buried and rose on the Third Day. He has ascended to Heaven to
sit at the right hand of the Father. He will return someday, that
day unknown to man, to Rapture His church.
3. The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells
and gives life to believers, enables them to understand and apply the Scriptures,
empowers them for Godly living, and equips them for service and witness.
4. Salvation
Each member of the human
race is fallen, sinful and lost; the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides
the only ground for forgiveness of sins and justification to all who receive
Him by faith; and that only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can
they become children of God. Salvation is in Christ ALONE. There
is NO other way to Heaven but through Jesus Christ. If one will call
on the Name of the Lord, and believe that He died for them, and rose from
the dead, and ask God's forgiveness, and turn from their sinful ways (repent)
then they are saved. It is then the Christian's job to live a Christlike
life - growing closer to Him on a daily basis, loving others, doing good,
and walking the talk.
5. The Bible
God said it...I believe
it... that settles it. Amen
