Pathway of Pain

If my days were untroubled
and my heart always light,
would I seek that fair land
where there is no night?

If I never grew weary
with the weight of my load,
would I search for God's peace
at the end of the road?

If I never knew sickness
and never felt pain,
would I search for a hand
to help and sustain?

If I walked without sorrow
and lived without loss,
would my soul seek solace
at the foot of the cross?

If all I desired
was mine day by day,
would I kneel before God
and earnestly pray?

If God sent no winter
to freeze me with fear,
would I yearn for the
warmth of Spring every year?

I ask myself these
and the answer is plain,
if my life were pleasure
and I never knew pain

I'd seek God less often
and need Him much less,
for God is sought more often
in times of distress.

And no one knows God
or sees Him as plain
as those who have met Him on the
"Pathway of Pain."

Dearest Sindy,
Words cannot describe what I want to say to you....
God Be With You and hold you tight through this.
We don't understand everything and don't know
what tomorrow holds....but we know the man
who holds tomorrow in the palm of His hands.
Love, Laurie

"Johnathan Michael Young"

Johnathan was just nineteen
So many trouble's he had seen.
Just too young for this heavy load
He thought at times his heart would explode.
He had a soft inner being and so many friends
He knew the Lord was waiting around the bend.
He was just too young to carry this heavy load
So many seeds he had not sowed
On August Ninth in the year of Two Thousand and Six
His Spirit went to Heaven for he couldn't take anymore of people’s
lies, and dirty tricks.
Too young to die but, in so much physical and mental pain
At his funeral so many came to show their respect and love
He now knows they were sent by the One up above.
His life was not wasted nor did he die in vain
Johnathan's Spirit now lives with Jesus and he knows God reigns.

The Master's Face

Sometimes we don't understand
The way God moves His awesome hand.
Yet we know His ways are perfect in every way
And He will tell us the whys in heaven some day.
It is very hard for us to lose someone we love
Because we can't feel, kiss, or see them above.
Just know that there is a heaven for I have seen it with my own eyes.
He would never return to earth or part the eastern skies.
He is in a perfect place.
Daily he sees the Master's face.
His spirit is at peace and his heart keeps your love.
Just know he is not dead but only has a new home above.

Sindy,
Perhaps the only way we can begin to understand
such loss is to realize heaven's gain.

SONG: If You Could See Me Now...for entertainment and evaluation purposes only.

Luke 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

Luke 15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

Luke 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
