What is Christianity to me?

To me, being a Christian is, basically, to live like Jesus taught us, to the best of my abilities. I've chosen a few keywords to show what this means to me.

Love
What, then, is love? Many have tried to define it, just look at all the love songs out there! Perhaps the oldest definition is found in Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthians. Here below I've tried to define what I mean by the word love.
~LOVE MEANS~
Love means to understand, respect and care.
Love means to forgive and forget and be fair.
Love means to solve any problems that occur
As soon as possible before they cause a stir.
Love means to be honest, kind and true
And never on purpose make someone feel blue.
Love means to be able to apologise
And when you're wrong, your mistake to realise.
Love means to care and be there for each other
And try never ever to be a bother.
This is some of what love means to me.
And when you have true love, you're as happy as can be!

Unselfishness
I suppose most of you are familiar with the parable of the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) and the Golden Rule. There are several more examples in the Bible of unselfishness. Basically, it means to always put others before yourself. Help and give to others whenever you can, be happy for others who succeed or get something great instead of getting envious. See also for instance Matthew 20:26-28.
Forgiveness
Jesus tells us to forgive our brothers, not only seven times but seventy times seven times. I wrote a poem about forgive and forget a while back. Here it is:
Forgive and Forget
Forgive and forget
is there anything more divine?
Forgive and forget
I try to do to friends of mine.
Forgive and forget
is there a better gift to give?
Forgive and forget
will make it easier to live.
Forgive and forget
will bring peace back to our earth.
Forgive and forget
we should never question its worth.

Respect
To treat others like you'd like to be treated. To listen to others. To pay attention to others' feelings, opinions, needs, wishes.
Tolerance and patient teaching & guidance
This means to never judge anyone (Matthew 7:1, John 8:1-11, Romans 14:13) or force your beliefs on anyone. I believe that the right way to spread the Gospel is to act like good examples in our daily lives, to be beacons that others can be drawn to if you see what I mean. Accept everyone for who they are, and never give up hope about anyone. (See also Matthew 6:46-47 and 9:12-13, Romans 12:16, James 1:22 and 2:14-18.)
A source of strength, peace, faith, and hope in my daily life
Again, I have a poem to illustrate this point.
A source of strength
My spirit is now lifted up
My soul is filled with glee
I have a source of energy
A peace and harmony
A source of strength for every day
The faith that's filling me
and won't deceive me, come what may
and gives me light to see
Of life and hope my soul is filled
My spirit's easy and light
Because I now feel fresh and healed
And can soar to heavenly heights.
