Crises Strengthen

How come crises seem to strengthen me?
How come I feel that my faith increases?
Despite everything that I've been through
All the storms, the losses, and diseases?

Could it be that crises are the tests
That I have to take in order to grow?
And the feeling of strengthened faith I have
means that I have passed and more I know?

Or could it be that crises are the signs
That I need to work on increasing my faith?
That I need to draw closer to the place
where I know that I am loved and safe?

Maybe it's a combination of the two
Because that's what I'm feeling now
My faith is stronger, but so is also my need
To come closer to those safe loving arms somehow.
