Why afraid?
Why am I afraid of the dark black nightwhen I know that around me is a shield?
A shield that I can feel, arms that hold me tight
where I can feel safe and refreshed and healed.
Why am I afraid of the dark black night
when if I'm thus protected there's no fear?
And I know that the darkness will turn into light
and I hear a voice saying, "Fear not, I'm here".
I must never be of little faith
Because I have protection and love from above.
And when I'm in His shelter I'm always safe
and so filled with peace and hope and love.
