These verses will tell us
The Holy Spirit & God are One & a Person.
Many believe The Holy Spirit is a force. But see what the bible says.
Isaiah 63:10 -- Yet they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit.
So he turned and became their enemy and he himself fought
against them.
*He can be grieved* (a force can not grieve)
John 15:26 -- "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to
you from the Father,
the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will
testify about me.
*He Bears Witness*
John 16:13 -- But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes,
he will guide you into all truth.
He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he
hears, and he will tell you
what is yet to come.
*He speaks what He hears* (a force can not hear or speak)
Acts 5:3-4 --
3 --
Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to
the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
4 --
Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your
disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God."
*The Holy Spirit is called God in this verse*
Acts 13:2 -- While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,
"Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
*He speaks in this verse*
Ephesians 4:30 -- And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed
for the day of redemption.
*He can be grieved*
(a force can not grieve)
