Nellie Beatrice Starns born in Jordville, Texas, October 24,1921 daughter of Clyde Benton and Addie Sophrona Jordy Starns passed away Tuesday, July 31 at her residence in Rosenberg after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, with interment following at Morton Cemetery in Richmond. Mr. Mike Salch will officiate the service. She was a member of VFW Women's Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Max W. Koch; her daughter, Lela Madeira; sisters, Letha Fehlis and Mary Graff; and brothers, Braxton and Cleo Starns. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Sparks and her husband, Jimmy, of Rosenberg; son, Max Koch, Jr. and wife, Darlene, of Georgetown; sisters, LaVerne Urbanski of Rosenberg and Ruby Dannhaus and husband, Tom, of Rosenberg; brother, Clyde Starns and wife, Shirley, of Pearland; brother-in-law, Paul Koch of Lake Jackson; grandchildren, Kelly Bosworth, Bo Sparks, Chad Sparks, Cynthia Salch, Chris Madeira, Lisa Miles, Max Koch III and Kari Koch; 14 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Serving as pallbearers are Bo Sparks, Chad Sparks, Leon Urbanski, Mark Urbanski, Paul Koch, Jr., Adelle Carroll and Manuel.
